Where are you getting it? It's a good set of parts but it is older (though you could reuse your old ram). Be easier at this point to just get a new Ryzen based build with DDR4.

What's your budget? I think if you can afford X79 and that i7 you could easily afford the above.

Other options would be get a H81M board for €50 new, and a 2nd hand 4th gen i5 for about €100. And re-use your old ram. Total cost €150, and you'd get €120 of that back for your 2600K.

Getting it on adverts 2nd hand.
Costing 330. But I don't really wanna spend that much to be honest. Would what you suggest be good for gaming etc

Ryzen 1600, B350M motherboard and 8GB DDR4 will cost not much more - brand new platform with DDR4, and it's a six core.

Or as above, just get a H81M motherboard for €50 new. Then get a 4th gen i5 for about €100-120, or a 4th gen i7 for about 200. Total cost - €150 to €250, and you can use your current ram.

And sell the i7-2600 for €120. You would also need a serious graphics card upgrade for gaming. The GTX650 is extremely outdated, most modern games would only run at very low settings.
