Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    On The Ray D’Arcy Show…

    Sinéad Harrington writes:

This Saturday night, Ireland’s most popular architect Dermot Bannon joins Ray D’Arcy to talk about being like a kid in a sweet shop when he crossed the Atlantic to look at homes in L.A. and New York for his new television series.

‘House Hunt’ goes celebrity this weekend. One well-known Irish personality will open up their doors to Ray this week to play for cash for their chosen charity

Also on the show, Peter McVerry will be asking people to donate their water charge refund to “The Refund Project”, a campaign spearheaded by the Simon Community, Focus Ireland and the Peter McVerry Trust, to help homelessness.

And as it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…Ray might just treat viewers to a seasonal lip sync!

Most popular architect? Does he have a certificate to prove that or is it a supposition based on his fizog being on the RTE telly screen?

That money was just resting in my account.

I'd love if they took the cameras around Dermots house so we can see if he has it perfect or what the setup is.

Looking at Dermot, his ears make me think he is an elf...

I'd have thought with him being an architect he would have had every DIY tool under the sun all neatly filed away alphabetically.

I think he's the only one I know.

And yet, I can truthfully say I have no favourite Irish architect.

    Isn't that weird?

When did he become people's go to guy to me he is an bully if he does not get his own way and if I was getting a new house he would not be my first 50th choice

He'd have a better chance of trimming the trunk of the Christmas tree with an electric carving knife than a blunt hacksaw.

I'd love to go to LA.

Always felt like I'd be very much at home with those Boyz in the hood type chaps.

You would love the Boys in the hood types, loads of them about but most shocking is loads of homeless and downtrodden, for one of the richest countries on earth there's such a crazy divide, it was like something you would see in Somalia.

He does come across as a bully alright in his programme. But I'm sure he has the ear of the producers to put his pov across. Comes across badly though...

Well, first thing I'd do is get Riggs and Murtagh on the case.

Was Baywatch in LA? I'd make sure Mitch knows about it too.
