Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should have been a yellow for Jesus
    Diving going unpunished
If Jesus goes down three times he'll have to be crucified.

  • Fed up of arguing about penalties in the Liverpool thread, but I thought that looked a penalty on first and second viewings. Silly to hang a leg out like that either way.

    Hah

    It was a dive..

Wait until he goes for the cross and gets nailed.

I have never hated a ref as much as Oliver. Overly officious when it's easy to be and cowardly when it isn't.

God, thierry henry is awful. I have to mute when he starts his incoherent 'analysis'

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,414 ✭✭✭Toobz

RW Martial is so bad, why was he put there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,246 ✭✭✭Esse85

I'm shocked how much time de bruyne is getting on the ball.

Think Jesus might have deserved a yellow there, fine challenge by Kompany if a little on the agressive side.

no. Tackles are supposed to be aggressive, it was a super tackle, and im a united fan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Any other City defender in there and it's one nil. Walker has some pace.

I think it was a super tackle too and i hate seeing ones like that going punished, which sometimes they do because of the agressiveness. That was all I meant.

It's crazy how quick he is. He's well built and at first look you wouldn't expect that type of acceleration

Will never get how pro footballers have such incredibly poor efforts like Otamendis when under no pressure at all. It's literally your job to kick the ball well

ah ok, same, used to play center back and i used to go through the ball and anything after that, refs now days see a jersey touch another jersey and its a yellow. annoys the **** out of me.

Rojo is an idiot, but you have to ask why is Oliver only speaking to him and not Sterling after they both argue with one another? Oliver makes things worse always.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

    That looked extremely painful

  • Henry talking ****e again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,304 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

God, thierry henry is awful. I have to mute when he starts his incoherent 'analysis'

He's brutal, adds nothing and paid more than Neville & Carragher iirc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

That should be second yellow to Jesus. Hasn't got one. Jesus ****ing Christ.

Should be yellow for Jesus there. Wouldn't expect much from Michael Oliver though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

That is a clear yellow for Jesus but Oliver bottles it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

    Jesus immune from yellows today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

United haven't had a shot on goal yet. City had 6 and 78% possession but that counts for nothing really.

  • Jesus no yellow
    Oliver is useless

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

How is Jesus not booked yet!!!

Jesus like most obvious yellow ever

I stuck it on mute, 9 times out of 10 he's talking rot

City are so quick to press when they lose the ball, its very impressive to watch.

Jesus has been crap. City a second too slow to get their shots away

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

No one in our midfield can carry the ball out without hoofing. Missing Pogba

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

This game is like a repeat of the Merseyside derby. Very similar pattern of play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,304 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

United panicking everytime they have the ball, hoofing it up the pitch, it's awful to watch

At home and an attacking team out, feel bad for Lukaku, getting nothing

    That goal was coming

Same time on the goal too. Now watch United get a dodgy second-half peno.

    Missing our best player
He's crucial in midfield. Suffering because of it

Well deserved lead. Only one team has bothered to play today and they've been rewarded for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Might have been offside if Young had moved, strange position he took up for that corner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Brilliant reaction from Silva, anti-football from United punished at last. Might see them attack a bit now perhaps.

    Men against boys so far.

Still think Utd will get something. They will need to change tactics though

    Deserved really, united poor.

  • Deserved lead tbf
Disappointing to conceed that from a corner however

Really poor defending, compounded by the farcical calls for offside (or was it for a foul?)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Totally out of character from KDB there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Comical defending and thoroughly deserved lead for City.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

    de Bruyne, that was dire.

Good goal for the game. Let's see how United go at it now. Positive response so far
