At long last De Bruyne played a great ball there.

Are the refs supposed to carry out medical tests on the pitch now?

He should be able to walk off an elbow in the jaw.

    Credit where credits due

Better team won on the day, best team in the PL by a country mile

It's a fight for second for United unfortunately

Fair play to City. It was a deserved win. They look to have the stuff of champions about them.

United still a bit off having title credentials.

    Sensational form by City.

Theyre chanpions elect and its not even 2018.

An exceptional side and winning sequence

People will put pep down somewhere along the line but they look destined to destroy record after record this season.

For Spurs Utd Chelsea Araenal and Pool, its about fighting for 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Its scary to think that in early December that the league is all but done but here we are.

Have to give Pep huge credit for this.

    Enjoyable game. City absolutely dominant

That was great from City in the last few minutes, extremely frustrating for United and their fans.

Disappointed with that loss. Two shocking goals to concede and then we didn't take the golden chance we had which has to be done against city.

Congrats to city on winning the title anyway. Looks like the relegation battle will be the only interesting part for the remaining part of the season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,362 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

    City deserved the win.

  • Result is fair in its entirety
Raging with the result all the same
Gutted with the manner we conceeded
Keeper for city ended up winning it for them in the end
Hope this doesn't have a knock on effect to our mentality
Repeat word on Oliver tho, he was shocking

Top two teams looking at serious point hauls this year. Reckon both City and United go far in CL.

i didnt mind who won that match once city won it to be honest....

City so poor at the back and man utd didnt go and attack them...

Jammy from City. Two lucky goals, draw or United win would have been right result.

Silva is an amazing player up there with one of the greatest to ever play in Premier League era imo :)

In fairness he took an elbow to the face, right in front of Oliver.

The baffling thing was Oliver finally stopping the game for it , sums up his performance really.

You'd have to wonder what United got from that. Usually you can argue getting the draw is the big thing about deploying your team like that, but you were eight points behind and at home. And then didn't get the draw.

Huge gulf in approach and confidence in themselves.

They've spent over a billion quid over a very short space of time and now they look like they're likely to dominate the league for the next few years. Great to watch or not leagues live and die on their competitiveness which doesn't look like something the premier league has any more, but yeah, you don't like united so wind on up the United fans.

    Glazers Out!

City were clear winners today, even the most biased Utd fan cant say anything else.

It's been very predictable from the off, I expect the champions league draw to have the same whiff of a fix as the world cup draw had.

    Wha?

  • What I will also give credit to city for is they were pragmatic towards the end of the game. Waisted time really well. Sadly that's what champions do and it looks fairly certain the league is theirs

City miles ahead of everyone else. The difference in the skill levels today was huge.

Mourinho had the same approach at Chelsea - spend loads to win the league.
Doing the same at United but now other teams can match the spending.

Shockingly Mourinho is finding it a bit tougher than usual!!

PSG and United are two clubs that can't use the "they've spent billions" card.

Lukaku is as expensive as De Bruyne or Jesus or Zlatan but there is an enormous gulf between the City pair and the other two.

We aren't as good as city. They are literally breaking records left and right. It's like context and balance goes out the window when people talk about Mourinho teams.

I actually thought United were pretty good and DDG was relatively untested. A couple of woefully defender set pieces aside, the game plan was pretty good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Well done to the lads; a fully deserved win. We were the better team by a mile. Even at the back, where we were without three of our first choice back 4 for most of that second half, we were pretty comfortable. For a team playing at home, and really needing the win, the lack of attacking intent from utd was very poor. Not that I'm complaining! But this result means nothing if we fcuk up in South Wales in midweek. Onwards and upwards. And fair play to the general; he's banging in vital goals for us this season.

Mourinho is never going to play that game differently. If he played it tomorrow, it'd be the exact same and the same outcome. There's nothing gained from it.

And Utd have spent £587 million since Fergie left and achieved d*ck. I'll spend the billion so thank you very much.......

Ahh. United spend their own money which the club generates for itself. Psg and Man City are sugar daddy clubs. Can't compare at all.
