Cross the Liffey to Ristorante Romano on Capel Street.

Fish Shack cafe on Parliament Street - if you don't fancy Italian.

Any preference hurler? Fancy some ethnic fare or would you rather traditional European? I'll creepily look at your past posts and try and see if I can get the cut of your jib and help you out.

OK. Had a quick look at your past posts without actually clicking on them. Not short of a few bob! Well traveled, health conscious (I'll ignore that, as it's a night out with your family).

Double check if where ever you're going that is open on Monday nights and not booked out. December is the worst month for dining.

Would work in Dublin some times Mid week...family joining me tomorrow afternoon for a night ... last time probably last xmas we went to thunder road in temple bar but without any alcohol was 150 plus ....kids 11-13-15so that type set up impressed them .. just seeing is there anything similar foodwise European that might be more value ... then again maybe that's as good as it gets these days in Dublin anyways

Well, Dublin can be the cheapest place to eat in Ireland if you want, but it won't be classic European, more authentic Asian, but that's out and fair enough, it's not for everyone.

What about calling Market Bar, see if they can fit you in and be ok with the underagers? It's a big pub, not the "lets get pissed in" pub though. The food is excellent with big helpings. Kinda like monster tapas portions, spuds pravos, chicken and chorizo, steaks etc... about €11 to €13 per plate of food and everyone shares. Your kids are at "eating machine" age, so you can keep ordering more food as you go.

The restaurants I previously recommended will serve far superior food than Thunder Road. Thunder Road is certainly not as good as it gets in Dublin! :)

Mexico to Rome in Temple Bar is great value......tasty, generous portions, good selection of italian/mexican/irish dishes and very kid friendly. Nothing fancy and probably not very authentic but very satisfying after a day out in the cold! The garlic potatoes are delish...

ETA I know OP is going in the evening but might be of interest for others reading that this place has in my opinion one of the best value lunches in town..... €9.95 for two courses and wine/beer/mineral.

The Gotham cafe, They do a two course for 17 euro and its grand not fine dinning or anything but its got the sort of vibe teenagers would like with all the rolling stone covers on the walls.

I looked it up the tow courses for 17 not available from the 10th of December to the 7 of January.

They do non alcohol cocktails which teenagers might like.

Worked out ok , reasonable value for money I guess .. some good suggestions here but the kids i.e. Teenagers are into a TGI Fridays - Hard Rock - thunder road set up ....
