I've just completed a 1 year computer science conversion course. The course was geared mostly towards the software development/ programming end of things but I think I'm better suited to IT. I'm currently applying for anything I can get entry level IT admin, sys admin, and a couple of entry level data center technician roles. I haven't got any call backs though. I would honestly work for free for 3 months just to get going.

Should I start with comptia A+ or is there a more useful way to go?

You can always do charity work. Camara was great on my CV. Work experience and a good cause. It’s in Dublin.
