And straight into the studio after that. Amazing few frames!

Higgins will beat Wilson, but mark Allen I'm not so sure

Needs a few visits to Steve Peters. Letting his career pass him by.

I only heard that Ronnie is threatening not to play the worlds this Easter. He's my favorite player by a mile but sometimes crap like that disappoints me.

Thought he was over all of attention seeking carry on. Obviously not.

Wilson has played a lot of bizarre shots this week.

Fairplay to Kyran there. But how difficult is it, to switch your phone off, or if you dont know how, get someone to do it for you!

Respect to Wilson after the phone going off 3 times when he went to take a shot, asking for the person not to be ejected and just put the phone on silence and to let him back in after the interval

Watching in my front room, and actually applauded him.

Brilliant final so far, plenty drama

These two guys are as tight as fck, almost felt like a decider that frame. Foresee a night of nervy snooker ahead.

I'm really enjoying the match so far. Not Snooker of the highest quality but great tension. It's fascinating to see how both players are handling the occasion.

Switched over to Eurosport for a min. Ronnie appears to have recovered well from his illness during the week. What a KN*b.

Hearn made his point well earlier I thought to refute the bulksh1t Ronnie was spouting the other day.

Presenter: "When are ppl gonna get the message to turn off their phones?"
Davis: "Text message it to them"

    LOL

Was thinking the same. How come Mark Allen holds the cue in his right hand when using the rest? I've seen this before from a left handed player, can't remember who.

Trump uses the rest right handed.

Looking around the crowd I think that's Patsy Fagan in front row by Allen. Mr Coventry City had had the week off work again I see.

Not been a Classic but Allen should hopefully now see it out.

Delighted for him though not before time it has to be said! Wilson lost his composure a bit at a critical part of the match, did well to get himself back into it but better player won.

Congratulations and delighted for Mark. I hope it spurs him on to greater success.

What are peoples opinion on Allen in general?

He's had a few outbursts over the years and a few fallings out with lads but most people seem happy he won last night (myself included)

Allen’s basically a good bloke I think. Tended to speak his mind a bit too freely in the past, with no moderation filter, which I think was more down to immaturity than anything else. Will still speak out when he feels the need which is a good thing, the game needs someone other than Ronnie to deliver the odd home truth.
