I could see this ppv taking place in Russia or more likely the middle east.

MMA is ****ing ghoulish, from Dana White all the way down to Graham Boylan trying to push ahead with events. This is not the time for 'The show must go on'. It's going to get a lot worse over the next few weeks (and possibly/likely a lot longer) especially in the US and UK, people need to isolate themselves as much as possible.

They aren't even testing the ****ing fighters so they're definitely not testing everyone else that will be in the arena. **** them.

Dana said today he has a venue for Khabib vs Tony and it will be in an empty arena.

So no mention of where it is? Is he trying to avoid it being stopped?
I'm pretty certain that Khabib will pull out saying it's unsafe.

Id be fairly confident this won't go ahead, no matter what uncle Dana says.

I would like it to happen however.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,348 ✭✭✭✭ricero

Hopefully it goes ahead. These two ****ing animals Khabib and Tony in an empty arena is a perfect setting for this fight imo.

See finally who the goat at 155 is.

Khabib went back to Russia and has to self-isolate for 14 days.

What country is realistically gonna allow this to happen?

Has the UAE said it’s a non runner for them. ?

Doesn’t nessecarily have to be sanctioned or cleared by a country either. There are loopholes that can be exploited all over the world.

Would it be legal on a reservation in the US??

    Or offshore in international waters?

Both unlikely and a bit far fetched I’ll admit but I’m sure every unlikely option is being considered.

They called off the Dubai world cup next weekend so I don't think the UAE is a runner anymore.

It will be in a Casino on a reservation.
Regardless of what state they are in they are the sovereign territory of the Tribes and almost completely atonomous from state and federal laws.

A territory might be autonomous but to get there would require Khabib flying into a an international airport and dealing with immigration and homeland security. Which is obviously under full federal control.

Oh Jon. You just can't help yourself.
He could very well do jail time over this one. It'll most likely be the end of his career if he does.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,735 ✭✭✭ASOT

Agree with the above, I think he could be snookered this time.

Hahaha, I looked up Google Street view of the arresting location. Look to the other side of the road. "Knockouts Gentleman's Club"

Jones cannot help himself. Although their backgrounds are very different, there are unlimited parallels to Tyson in him.

    Never outa trouble.

I've always had a strong dislike, even hatred of Jones, before all the DUI stuff, there was a horrible fake air of humility from him, a mask, underneath it's complete and total arrogance.

(Plus he beat the breaks off my boy Shogun)

I don't know enough about Jones to really comment but Tyson was dealt a very ****ty hand with the world he was born into. Boxing and Cus D'mato saved his life, but it also brought a whole lot of other problems too.

I'm not excusing any of his behaviour here either.

If you making a list of UFC fighters that deserve to be called that he'd be nearer the bottom than the top.

He has multi DUI's including a one that included a hit and run involving a pregnant woman where he returned to his car after running away to get drugs and money and left here there.

    Care to list them?

Who would you put above jones?

His high profile probably means his are more known

I'd have Matt Hughes top closely followed by Jones.
