Pretty much the UFC's business model right there.

I could understand in some cases, but i don't get why they're still happy to pay the Reem $800k to headline fight night cards.

Showtime v MVP would be a great fight... !!!

unless he's improve significantly in the last two years.

Here's his fight in UAE Warriors back around October https://youtu.be/mNvJkqtJ0TM

He got taken down very early, guard passed way too easy and he was lucky to survive. But he then done very well to get back to his feet and get the win.

You'd like to think he is non stop practicing the basics of maintaining a good guard. Mike Jackson couldn't sub CM Punk over three rounds so I would hope Dean is safe. :D

Dean was able to stuff a few of Taylor's tank dows because he was fresh being longer. Once it got to the ground he panicked and was lost.
He's about as good on the ground as Cian.
    If not worse.

That’s a fair enough description of Dean.
I’m not sure that Mike Jackson’s ground game is any better. Wasn’t his background, allegedly, boxing.

Mike Jackson's background is he worked with Mick Maynard for a few months and they somehow became Friends. He apparently trains part-time and is an ok boxer and does some bjj.

If he's above an average blue belt he'd be better than Dean on the ground.

I just think it's a case of two lads who really aren't UFC level getting a callup they don't deserve.
Someone in the UFC got sent a Snapchat video of flashy kicks from Conor and said "**** it, we'll give him 15 and 15, if he's **** we'll cut him".

I was thinking he wasn’t even blue belt.

BT were showing UFC's Top Fights of 2020 on the 24th (highlights of them)

Zhang vs Joanna rightly no. 1

Honestly I think it's the best fight I've ever seen. Generally I can find it tough to sit down and watch a fight knowing it's going the full 5 rounds (you often have fights that have one stormer of a round thrown in), but my god this was unreal.

Khabib has supposed to have said in an interview that the fight between Conor and Dustin will be for the lightweight title.

Nothing confirmed by the UFC yet though.

We have to wait until March now for Dean Barry's UFC debut. His fight is off. Maybe more time to work on his ground game?!

He’s doing well enough out of whisky sales. He’ll be ok. No idea who the other guy is

Hooker v Chandler confirmed for January 23rd. That will make for a great watch right before the McGregor fight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 663 ✭✭✭MidlanderMan

Can see Chandler literally grinding out a win with hooker spending most of the fight trying to get off the side of the cage.

Some people shouldnt be allowed fight until theyve passed some kind of psychiatric evaluation. Mike Perry is one of those people. Bloke needs real help, not a fight contract.

Do we know what happened yet? The video doesn't tell much. He could have been messing about and accidentally put his foot through the window. He seems fairly calm in the video, like he is sitting waiting for help to come.

This is not surprising but still shocking.

Don't know who Spike Carlyle is but his rationalising of the existence of Jews is still shocking, every time I read it.
