Lads its getting tiring repeating the same stuff here, we have a charter you are all familiar with..just because there is some tabloid stuff over the weekend doesn't give you the freedom to say what you want and ignore it.

"One of the greatest leaders of our time", so he supports rights, but he thinks a guy who takes them away is one of the greatest leaders in the world.. hm
To be fair he said one of the greatest leaders, not one of the greatest humanitarians.

Conor on rights 'Every human deserves equal rights '
Conor on a man who's leadership relies on taking away rights and murder 'great leader'

I'm sure you could find something to disagree with for every politician, but Putins not just any politician is he? the man is a dictator for life who represses rights, murders his opponents and critics, and is responsible of thousands of deaths and hundreds of thousands of refugees in chechnya.

If connor had to get the photo, fine, do it and keep your thick mouth shut like everyone else unless you want to come off as a hypocrite

Seriously spare me the lesson in western morals. Every leader of a world power can be held responsible for hindreds of thousands of deaths and refugees if Putin can. Millions probably in the case the last few American presidents. Not to mention human rights violations. The US is generally one of the last nations to sign up to new human rights accords and agreements.

If he had said the same about a “popular” western leader like Obama or David Cameron would you be equally up in arms about Obama’s pretty poor record in a lot of human rights issues??

….anyways, I'm presuming he's never fighting again until something is officially announced.

'Western morals', sorry but you're not going to get to use that as a get out of jail card. Id be more critical of american and british policy and imperialism than most on this site. How many of his critics did Obama have murdered? People what abouting to defend murder is a new low on this forum and for McGregor fans

How much do you know about Putin? Anna politkovskaya? Purins pet puppy Kadyrov? And those are just the famous cases, there's thousands of other deaths and refugees thanks to that great leader

How is Putin a dictator when he has just been elected by 70% of the Russian people ?

Silencing the opposition politicians and press probably had something to do with it. You know the murder of journalists who criticise him and murder/imprisonment of politicians who risk running against him

Not hard to get 70% when people can't dare open their mouths against you

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,283 ✭✭✭Dr Brown

McGregor would probably make a better President of Ireland than the Hobbit who's currently in office.

McGregor has shown that he gets on well with world leaders.

He would definitely represent Ireland a lot better than the Hobbit.

Unfortunately the lack of proper independent investigations and trials makes it hard to get evidence, you know on account of him being a dictator and all. But if you'd rather believe it's just a serious of unconnected coincidental murders on you go
