To be honest I also think you're giving him far more credit than he deserves. I think he just sees himself as a king these days. He's already achieved everything he's ever wanted to achieve and he's not even 30. Wildly rich and successful, has won two world titles in the UFC, and is probably the most famous person in Ireland. Everywhere he goes he's treated like a god.

Let's assume you're right about that - what does he actually have to gain from stoking the rumours about himself and the Kinahans? He doesn't exactly need any more notoriety than he already has, so if it isn't that he's a massive troll (which we know he is already) who likes to get a rise out of people and is happy to fan false rumours like this and manipulate the press into running away with them, then what is causing him to draw attention to this, exactly?

Can we all just admit that admit that Conor is a huge attention whore and doesn't want anyone else having the spotlight [hence his Bellator antics]

You really think he was trying to steal the spotlight from award that night?
What about jumping into the cage on TUF stealing Artem's moment?
Admittedly the Belator moment turned into a cluster****. But on TUF he looked genuine in his excitm by for his mate.

**** YES. If he just wanted to congratulate Ward he would have just walked over to the cage door where he would be exiting and hug him there. Not perform that spectacle that he did.

If Conor wants the spotlight that badly he should get back in the cage.

I noticed you ignored the Artem part.

With Ward he could have clapped and met him at the cage door. But you're being disingenuous to suggest any overvthe top reaction is motivated by selfishness.
Fans often rush the pitch after big football matches, caught up in the excitement or trying to steal the limelight?

The fact he's not rushing back to the spotlight kinda contradicts your point though right. If it wasn't for Joe.ie writing an article about every instagram post or people losing their minds over what Pyjamas he wears, he wouldn't be in the spotlight at all.

155 Title fight to be announced soon, and the circus starts up.

For someone who loves attention he sure does hate doing media

With Conor's over the top antics to make sure he stays in the spotlight he loses the "He got caught up in the moment" benefit of the doubt.

It ain't just Joe.ie. All the papers are all front over his booze ups, coke binges and hooker escapes. He was in the papers the other for claiming he runs the mobs. You can't tell me he doesn't crave the attention. Otherwise he would be keeping his mouth shut [and not trashing fighters he seems to have no intention of fighting]and take care of Dee and his son without these antics.

Of course the Artem thing was all about Conor. Didn’t he get TUF to completely change their rules so that Artem could come back!!!!

Facebook chat means nothing. Also highly doubtful Conor would want to fight him in Russia. What has he got to gain from giving any advantage it might offer to Khabib? Conor is the one who holds all the power in who he fights and where.

"Looking at the landscape of my current opponents, everyone of them have truly weak areas in the overall picture of fighting. You cannot test me in a straight fight.
Nobody on this earth can." -Conor Mcgregor.

Hmmmm.... lets run for 40 minutes Conor.

"Waitress at breakfast "so where are you from?"
    Ireland
-OH that's cool. You know who my favorite boxer is?
    No?
    -GGG
    Cool...but he's from Kazakhstan
-Yeah but the whole UK and everything
    Yeah but I'm Irish
-OK, well enjoy your breakfast – at Winnavegas Casino" -John Kavanagh

Wow superior intellect there give that man an honorary degree, I mean he owned that waitress and put her in her box.

I'm guessing he posted that as a funny/weird thing that happened to him, I don't think he's trying to imply he "owned" her.

Also in America the wait staff tend to engage in conversation, I presume to get a tip or are told to by management, which when you're from outside the country tends to turn bizarre.

Jk has a history of posting comments from others in a bid to belittle them in order to elevate himself as some kind of pseudo intellectual, it's incredibly sad and he clings to contrarian republican conservatives like Shapiro who engage nobody with any professional qualification in discussion just sophomore college students and dumb news anchors yet he's touted as some intellectual savant type.

The papers are running front page story based on photos passed around whatsapp. Can't really say that's Conor's doing unless you are suggesting he leaked the photos himself.

How is getting Artem back in the house all about Conor? You lost me there.

Same as jumping into the cage when he won. It looked clear to me he was simply ecstatic for his friend. I think we are st the point where people are twisting everything he has ever done to fit a certain narrative.
For example I don't remember anyone saying he was selfish jumping into the cage (on TUF) at the time.
If the Ward/Redmond fight was actually over, I don't think many would have cared either for that matter, as that would have avoided the entire shįtstorm.

definitely. I rememeber when he did a big post calling Conor a genius for some rebuttal about criticism he'd received (think it was Floyd race baiting) and he started the post with something like "as someone with a high level degree" - and it read like a full on IAMVERYSMART post.

He's obviously got a bit about him but he's not the savant he likes to think he is. I've personally never met any truly intelligent person who felt the need to rub it in your face - like they knew they where clever, but they knew what they didn't know which is just as important - and Kavanagh is every inch the smug atheist teen type

That's the post there. "As someone with a recognized high-level degree in a difficult topic...".
He comes across as very full of himself.

Artem was knocked out of the TUF season in the first episode. There was a big fuss made by Conor about only agreeing to do it if one of the SBG fighters was in it. So suddenly after over 10 seasons the rules changed and each coach was allowed bring one of the defeated fighters back. Had never happened before, wasn’t announced as part of the new season.

There's been plenty of seasons where they brought someone back who was defeated in the first episode, can't remember if it's ever been announced as it's been so long since I watched them. What does it have to do with him hogging the limelight and needing to be the centre of attention?

How does that apply to his point though?

His sister just finished her set on strictly. She was as stiff as a board.

It's a pity Conor wasn't there to tell her to keep it nice and flowy.

I guess Conor needs to sign her up for some movement lessons with Ido.

I don't know if Conor would be happy with Ido playing touch butt with his sister.

Surely for Conor to come back, he should insist it has to be Croke park or the Aviva.

It’s what he wanted from the start. It has to be on his bucket list and now he can make it happen

He'd find some other excuse to get out of defending his belt then.

He doesn’t need the money. But a stadium fight in Ireland would be pretty motivating.

Do you think its possible to get around all the problems that surround an event like that taking place here in Ireland? I think it would be incredibly difficult.
