Conor shouldn't be in spitting distance of another unearned title shot until he's actually willing to defend them.

Not how Dana works. WWE respect whos "earned" a title shot more than the UFC these days. If it'll sell, Dana will make the match.

Hence why we'll see Lesnar vs Jones at some point. Jones' USADA hearing is today. He may get the all clear to go back.

They really should. Most of the guys at 170 would probably much prefer fighting at 175. Vice versa, smaller guys like Dos Anjos and Cowboy are in no mans land at 170, where-as 165 would suit them down the ground. You open up for guys to come down from 185 who had trouble making 70 too like Hendricks, Gastelum etc.

The UFC will eventually introduce a 165lbs division and move Welter Weight to 175 but it won't be in the next few months and it won't be to give Conor a title shot.

They'll to it to accommodate the likes of Cowboy, Gastelum, RDS, and a load more who are fighting bigger or smaller than they need to because weight classes are currently too stretched out.

But saying Conor is looking for 165lb to duck the likes of Khabib. Who exactly do people expect will populate a 165 top 10?
