Course it is. But nutters don't think like that. They come up with a bananas theory and then ask others to disprove it! Hilarious really.

So he wasn't on coke then, according the cops.

Just to clarify. I believe it was staged up until objects were thrown at the bus. Then its off script. The UFC brand damage limitation machine is in full swing now. Why hasnt Dana released a statement saying conor will NEVER fight under the UFC again?

According to this Conor is actually 155 right now! Make it happen Dana! It also says no drug use on it though...

Do they test for drink/drug use in non-driving related offences?

Conor's in trouble in court once someone mentions the "defence"

"Defence? Never heard of it your honour"

Surely bt virtue of the fact he's lives in Ireland he'd be a flight risk? If a court date is set for months in advance do they expect him to live in the US while he's waiting? I've no idea of the criminal system just wondering.

Yup. All those idiots who train as UFC will stoop to any level to hype up the MMA.

Because hes worth 100s of millions to them.

Do you really believe Dana White, the president of a company worth billions, risked it all by flying 20 knackers he didnt know over from Dublin and let them loose inside the arena to go after some Russian lads?

Seriously? You think he would risk his job, maybe the UFCs immediete future and jail time just for a cheap PR stunt?

    Behave.

If you look at the likes of Dana whites comments it’s clear it was staged.

For all his faux outrage he hasn’t said mcg Is finished in the ufc.

In mcg’s charming turn of phrase “it’s all a load of bollix”

Who said Dana flew them out?

Rte1 news may document this correctly on now

Who said Dana flew them out?

Flew them out, let them in, suggested they come, had advance knowledge. Whatever.

    Its a silly theory.

See the Sheridan guy on rte news saying that artem had to leave his hotel room and change hotels due to threats being issued to.him in his room

Becasue Dana is a businessman and knows right well that when things calm down, he can still make a lot of money for the UFC if McGregor plays ball.

Just look at the number of chances that Jon Jones was given, and he did worse in my opinion.

As for it being staged - not a chance. McGregor has been acting out of line for too long and has lost the run of himself. The Bellator incident should have been used as a marker, but since he got away with it, he has repeated the behaviour.

Shame really, as when he is focused and primed he is great to watch.

You'd have to be a moron to think the attack was staged. McGregor was furious becuae of ehat happened with Khabib and Artem, he wanted to smash up Khabib's face, it's as simple as that.

Why hasnt Dana released a statement saying conor will NEVER fight under the UFC again?

Cause he's a fight promoter and he likes money and deep down (well, not that deep down) he will undoubtedly be thinking that Khabib vs McGregor in Russia would smash their ppv record and so why close that door completely.

UFC top brass will be sickened with what's happened but they too will know that they have nobody with the potential to make them as much money as McGregor can, until Jon Jones is welcomed back into the fold at least. They have share holders to keep happy at the end of the day and that will be the primary driver behind any decisions they make.

I'd say when all the smoke clears the narrative will be that Conor did something stupid and the authorities have dealt with him, he's learned a valuable lesson and............ now who wants to see Conor fight in Russia??!!

The UFC are desperate for him to fight again.

Depends on whether they believe he'd fly back when required.

Ah I see where you are confused on the whole staged thing.

It doesnt take for Dana to tell Conor to carry out A,B or C actions. They just need a whataboutry type conversation.

Do you honestly believe Dana didnt know Conor was heading over?

Surely McNugget was in his way over anyway to rail artem.

Don't think they flew out especially to confront khabib

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,349 ✭✭✭✭DrPhilG

until Roy Jones is welcomed back into the fold at least.

    Bit old isn't he?

No one knows. I’m not sure. I think.

    I need a lie down.

Honestly if McGregor got done for something and had to spend a few years in prison they wouldn't cut him because when he got back out and if he wanted to fight they would be promoting it.

It's prizefighting, it's littered with scumbags who have served time and promoters/casinos/sponsors/arenas still line up to promote them, why because of the almighty dollar.

Hasnt been decided yet. Pettis asked for a big payday, UFC countered lower he said no thanks. Paul Felder stepped in and the NYAC said he was ranked too low and wasnt allowed fight. Al Iquinta had weighed in at 155.2 earlier in the day but thats not championship weight, NYAC wouldnt let him weigh in a second time. So at the minute its not decided and all the media guys just began to pack up and leave.

What did Pettis weigh in at then??

Surely if he was on championship weight, then he’s the one that can call the shots??
