Great initiative and good to see it's built around some already well established popular races. Hopefully this gains traction and promotes deeper fields

Great idea as long as Anto doesn't fook the timing up!! Be great to see some deep fields chasing that €7,000 bonus pot.

Good to see some new ideas around racing. AAI would do well to take note. One or two odd things about this specific series though:
    • You don't win a car. You win use of a car for twelve months. To be fair, they don't explicitly say you win a car, but it's certainly not clear that it's only use of a car
    • The scoring system discourages taking part in more than 5 races. It's the lowest cumulative score, so if you race in more than 5 races, you're effectively penalizing yourself

Boardsie Enhancement Suite - a browser extension to make using Boards on desktop a better experience (includes full-width display, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, and more). Now available through your browser's extension store.

The way I read it you will only score out of your 5 best races so if you win 4 and come 2nd in 3 races then your 4 wins plus one 2nd place will count. I suppose there will be tactics involved especially around the different distances (a trail race in the mix also).
I think it's a great addition and will see some extra depth in eah of these races

Presume the scoring system is best 5 races to score.

So lowest total from your 5. Arguably, it encourages you to race more as a better result will erase a bad one.

    Works great in IMRA league.

Write up from local paper on Run With Catherina - should be a cracking race on a great course. I'll be involved in the set-up but will probably run the 5k. There's a barbeque afterwards so everyone will be well fed!!

Hope to see a few from these parts in Cavan on Saturday evening.
