'Rapid solution' nearly five months down the line.
The image of he tour - given that pretty much every winner in the last 20 odd years is either a confirmed or highly suspected cheat, its a wonder it has an image to protect./

Yes, it’s amazing how long this matter is stuck in the vacum.

Maybe it will be a HBO boxset !! Its certainly up there with Lost in terms of it being impossible to follow.

and he's on an appearance fee of ~1.5 million euro to be there.

Shows what a farce cycling is. It becomes more and more about the show - just like WWE.

Chris Froome, little plastic inhaler come to life. Has to be a film in there.

I can see the opening scene now.

Overweight, Z-List cyclist dives into African lake .... cut to water level camera, nearby, cue in Jaws music, as microscopic larvea float into cyclists mouth, he trashes about in water, then the water goes quiet, as he emerges from the lake 10 kg lighter, rippling with muscle .... & takes a huge huff out of an inhaler

Why would they pay him so much to turn up then? Does the Giro need that publicity?

If the giro was bothered about bad publicity, they wouldn't be starting in Israel.

There was that but also why would you pay some one €1.5m if you could fix the result as suggested previously.

I would suggest that the monies will not be released until after the decision...

Who is paying this to Froome....Haven't the Giro Organisers denied this?

Race organisers are such a cluster of companies and different bodies they can pretty much deny anything even if its true and still be technically correct...

    A public relations dream situation:

“I can categorically state our company are not paying Mr Froome a fee to race in the 2018 Giro d’Italia” to
“We were not aware he was being paid by another company to race in the 2018 Giro d’Italia”

It's nice that Sean Spicer was able to get another gig, but I suppose being able to spout the most unbelievable lies with a straight face is always a marketable skill ... just look at Dave Brailsford

    Not lies, mental reservation. :pac:

I presume the monies paid were for advertising rights etc. He would do media publicity, appear in adverts, give conferences etc. Presumably he was always going to start the Giro before this occurred so they were not paying him to show up.

Interesting that they're specifically targetting EPO in a mass anti-doping test of the big three portugese clubs...

Jays Philly Deignan needs to get out of that team. He'll never get a GT gig again.

A Semi-physiological model (their words) and a study not done on people or even animals but a theoretical model...
Don't think Froomey is going to get off on this

So the saga is finally over and Chris Froome has been cleared. I’m sure he will be reinstated into the TDF now. What a farce.

Long time cyclist first time poster....
This whole administration of cycling reminds me of sleeping with the woman you love knowing she's cheating on you... You just always wish it could be different...
Its Lance and US Postal all over again. I'd love to know who got paid for what and how much. Sepp Blatter would be less corrupt
