Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Get Martial on for these counter attacks

No need when we are in control.

I'd like to see MaccyT and Shaw get some minutes.

Only Rashford booked. I despise referees. Make it up as they go along

He got the call 100% correct

That’s a big loss for United

Rashford also went down holding his face because of an arm on his chest. What’s he at even running at the player after that, fair yellow.

And the other player then sticks his head into him to do that weird thing players do. 99/100 that is a double booking, one for initiating, another for retaliating.

Then the ref doesnt book Nyom for dragging back Rashford in a counter attack, just gives him a talking to. Making it up as they go along

Just hearing Gary Neville suggest Valencia been one of Uniteds best players over the last few seasons. Funny I see Valencia getting a lot of stick from United fans on here, I always think he is quality.

Maybe those of you giving Valencia stick are just terrible fans?

His delivery is poor, which pisses people off. Good defensively though.

    He's a great defender.

Young was lucky there. Clear obstruction and no attempt to play the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

    He's a great defender.

Great is stretching it IMO. Can be caught out if position and unfamiliar with the offside trap, which is to be expected from a converted winger.

Other United fans would probs disagree, but there you are.

Agreed, and DDG had it covered all the way. Bizarre from Young

Clear yellow. Was he inside the box or outside?

Is a fair shoulder (shoulder to shoulder) not a thing anymore?

Inside i think. I reckon he'd have been penalised if it was outside.

    That was coming

I think his athleticism covers any tactical deficiencies he has. Big part of Uniteds solid defence. Himself and Maria most important players defensively imo, there is adaquate cover every where else IMO.

Both guys have to be moving for it to be shoulder to shoulder. When one stops it’s obstruction imo

So if you stop when holding up the ball and get shouldered off it, it’s a foul? That doesn’t really make sense

He was shielding the ball to allow the keeper to save it.. you see it 10 times a match when players are letting the ball run out of play for a goal kick..

If we are talking about Young on Mcclean, I don’t see how that is shielding. He stands in front of him at the last second and barges him.

De Gea completely ****ed up his punch and that's how the ball ended up in a scramble so it was poor keeping regardless of what happened next.

I wouldn't say it's hate. Commentators are always going go for the underdog when the comeback is on. If the same happens in the later game they will be the same.

Phew. That was harder in the end than it should have been.

    Nervy finish to that game.

Good 3 points. Proper teams don't drop points against West Brom

I hate to say it but Pardrew has them playing much better stuff

At last Liverpool didn't concede against a side that can't score! :pac:

Utd are a strange team in their own way, Mourinho just won't let the side play with genuine freedom - he always seems to be calculating the percentages and coming up with "drop deep" as the answer, resulting in a more nervy ending than should be the case.

I've listened to Newstalk covering games for years, and there is a definite bias against United.
As far as I know a lot of the commentators are fans of other clubs, so I can understand them not liking united, but they're doing a job after all.

    Glazers Out!
