    Hi all.

Im wondering is it possible to fix a water damaged phone so i can recover a few pics i have on the phone! My grandfather passed away a week ago and the only pics i have of him with my son is on that phone! I was told by the phone shops its unrepairable. Just wondering if its possible and how much would that cost!

    what make / model ?
are they on the cloud ?

any chance the photos are on a micro SD card ?

in theory it might be possible to extract the contents of a chip but that's not going to be cheap

Might be too late now as you posted a week ago.

Have a go trying to extract the moisture from the phone. Put it in a container and fill it with dry (uncooked) rice and leave it in a warm place - hot press etc. The rice can absorb moisture. You’d never know - worth a shot. But there’s probably specialists that can open the phone and get to the memory chip - not cheap as previous poster said.

Any chance they were backs up to the cloud? Or if they’re on a sd card? I’ve had these go through the washing machine in my trousers and survive
