Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
Are diabetes products such as insulin, needles, test strips etc funded in Australia for Irish people? I am currently in NZ and most stuff is pretty well funded. I am also on a pump, any idea if my coverage would be swapped over to Australia?

I believe Australia and Ireland have reciprocal agreements for Medicare. I know this will cover Hospital but not sure about medication. I would suggest sending an enquiry to Medicare to find out if it's covered.

you can get it but insulin is not funded till you get PR , and its expensive. strips and needles are part funded by the NDSS

How long does PR take to get? I am in a relatively skills shortage job so they are keen to get people like me to work there. Would this play in my favour? Would a company health care program make any difference?

PR can take 9 months from lodgement , just take heaps with you from wherever you are.....may be a different story with the pump though regarding prices and funding. company healthcare programs wouldnt make any difference i think
