Why does anyone have to go to a bank to pay their mortgage or bills anymore?

I don't think I've been in a bank for years and years (except to lodge the water bill refund yay!).

Money/pay automatically transferred into my account, set up DDs, manage everything on internet banking.

In the early days of Lidl I asked a German of my acquaintance how she called it.
    "Liddle", she said.

As far as I know it's a made-up name anyway, so I'd suppose it might be pronounced differently in various parts of Germany, for all that.

Soapbox Joe: 'Gerald Flemming, in the blink of an eye, what's the weather like where you are now?'

I see what you did there Joe. Pity your attempt at levity and cleverness resulted in a nonsensical sentance.

No mention of 10 sick days the HSE staff can take each year.

We all know what will happen in reality. People will just put in for sick days for the 2 days they are off.
