Isn't it right in these more enlightened times we ditched the baby Jesus for a more modern inspiration in our meaningless modern consumerist lifestyle.
Surely E.T. could be a compromise figure that wouldn't cause offence to non Christian's. No more controversies over cribs and what not.

John Williams music in ET is total genius. If that music wasn't in it, a good lot of the magic wouldn't be there.

Phew it's the real Charlie and the chocolate factory movie on now! The modern WB titles had me worried for a second as I am like a beached whale here and the remote is out of reach.

I’ve never really liked it. I like most of the big 80s blockbuster movies - Indiana Jones, back to the future etc but never really took to ET.

If you think about it it’s a real stupid way to find a CEO. Almost didn’t work. 4 prick kids and one unbelievablely nice one who beat the odds.

Both E.T. and J.C really decided to get out of the place quick once the chance came. You wouldn't see Indiana Jones baiting off and leaving anyone behind in some dreadful grim kip. I can't wait for this in a few days. This scene is genius, the music, the editing and the ridiculous scrap.
