Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Robertson deserves more praise how he drove Sterling nuts all game as well so much so Pep had to take him off or he was getting sent off.

    It was beautiful.

That starting midfield is also the best midfield lineup we have.

    Beating City. Without VVD Unreal.

Liverpool had 37% possession today, shows how they effective they were.

Great win, the end took the shine off of it. Players with huge sigh of relief when whistle went, they should have been disappointed when it went, they should have wanted more time to score more.

I wonder was Chamberlain bought because klopp knew barca would be back so sounded out his replacement and gave him half a season to settle in

    Don't be stupid.

    You haven't seen the game.

Karius, Lovren and Gomez made big mistakes leading to goals.

It might have been hard to understand from the radio.

    I've seen it.

    Fatigue causes mistakes. Simple as.

Not looking for a debate here - just think that bringing up errors in the immediate aftermath of a huge victory is odd behaviour.

and talking in broader terms than this game. Not sure what you expect
against City while knowing what Lovren is like. Maybe Klavan should have played, but the manager thought otherwise. That's all I'm saying on the matter as a victory against the runaway league leaders should be a cause for cheers not boos.

    Klavan is worse than Lovren.

Robertson was joint best player on the pitch

So happy and proud to be a red after that result, I felt like vomiting when city had that free kick at the end, the ox and Robertson were superb

"2nd half we played pressing from another planet" - Klopp

Sky - "should Karius have saved the 1st goal at the near post?" Klopp - "sometimes people always look for the hair in the soup"

    I love this guy!!

I think it's mental to ignore Gomez losing the ball again, Karius getting beaten near post in the fashion he did and Lovren losing his man and the ball.

There's been pages of positives since we were winning 4-1 for so long. It's natural enough that the debate would move on to discussing the later stages of the game.

Its funny how this stuff starts:

    1)Everyone is celebrating the win.

    2) One poster qualifies his delight with concern at what happened in the last ten

    3) Another poster decides to take issue with any focus that isn't 100% positive.

    4) The poster defends his right to post it

    5) This to and fro goes on and and the original poster who expressed some concern in his post is painted as some sort of bitter who "hoped we would lose".

Makes less errors leading to goals than Lovren. Thankfully we'll have VVD there soon.

The only negative that people should take from that is that we’ve apparently let United back into the title race.

Sky reporters are so bad. Little football knowledge imo. Just looking for a headline or something controversial.

    Nice reply from Klopp

Did they not already win it in August?

Klopp: "The biggest strength of Manchester City is their tactical discipline. What they do, they do fantastic.

"But the good thing is that it's not completely unpredictable. The positions are clear. The only problem is they have world class players in each of those positions!"

Think that quote sums it up fairly well, it's near impossible to stop City, but we did better than anyone else has this season.

    Who is moaning?

It seems half the people on this thread want to actually discuss football to a level beyond mindless flattery and the other half are just looking for a big circle jerk where anything that isn't completely positive toward the team is seen as "moaning".

I don't want to make too many comparisons, but that is such a Suarez goal from Firmino. The run in behind, shouldering the defender off the ball, and chipping the keeper.

It reminded me of Fowlers second in Old Trafford in Cantonas first game back after his ban, very similar.

Said it on here prior to Coutinho being sold, thank **** we signed Chamberlain in the summer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,225 ✭✭✭marklazarcovic

arsenal are gonna loose sanchez and ozil , we should try for jack on a free in the summer if he remains fit for the remainder, really knock them back loosing all 3 players, we pick up a good player for free and weaken them. i love it.

Very impressed with Ox today. He is deceptively strong.

Robertson's name ringing around the Kop this afternoon. Delighted for him and he was great today.

    Can also good.

    Front three are just outstanding.
The Ox will be club captain this time next year....guaranteed.

So delighted to say how wrong I was about Robertson.

Superb today & has been since joining. Has to be #1 LB now. Can & Ox were also superb. Salah & Mane as usual were excellent.
Firmino showing why even when Coutinho was here he is our MVP. Give him a new contract asap & sign him a new Brazilian friend in Allison.

I'd be amazed if Sanchez signed for us. No way would we throw the same salary at him as the Manchester clubs are able to.

We seemed more dangerous from corners again today, with vvd back it will be better but I think chamberlain s corner delivery is one of the best in the league
