Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We have nice clever players, but no fox in the box. All those balls across face of goal are never took advantage of.

Meaningless unless we drag defenders out of position.

Van Dyke was Liverpools most threatening attacking player tonight.

I just think our front 3 will ball watch for tap in opportunities, but score great goals.

If you've watched Liverpool for any length of time, you should have expected that result.

Disappointing. Setbacks can happen but we should of pushed on with the momentum.

Midfield a problem that needs fixing now.

We are unbeaten in 19 games going up against the worst team in the league after trashing the best team in the league.

    Always half empty.

Sorry AC, this one is on you :o

This is typical Liverpool. Win the “big games” lose or draw the “small games”.

Ings looked sharp in the brief period he was on

Going to be a real battle with spurs and arsenal for the last top 4 spot.

No excuses money is there so sign some quality jurgen

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

In 8 days, played two games. Beat an unbeaten top of the table side and then lose against the bottom side.

    Something wrong there.

    Delighted.

typical bloody result. beat the top team in the league and cant breakdown and beat the bottom.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 479 ✭✭rgace

That is why we are battling for 4th instead of battling for 1st.

The midfield which was perfect for a Man City match was never going to be perfect for a Swansea match.

Red Monday. Very Liverpool result. Bought VVD and concede from corner.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Got exactly what we deserved from that. Shocking that we had no intensity especially after Spuds dropped points.

Anyway look forward to seeing Swansea relegated.

gifting relagation threatened teams 3pts for years now....

Klopp has to learn.... no need for Can and Gini on against teams like this....

Meh, there'll always be games like that.
Wouldn't read too much into it and missing Coutinho etc .... we were bound to drop points some time.

    47 pts after 24 games isn't bad at all.....just a tad short of 2ppg... & we're sitting pretty in 4th still :)

Hopefully we respond well from the defeat, the second half display was worse than the first IMO as I thought we'd drive on and assert our superiority, not tonight.

Déjà vu, Swansea did it last Jan too. We followed it by going out of FA cup .

Can you name who they should sign and who would be available?

I think tonight was more to do with tactics than personnel. We had quality attackers out.

Still positives to take from that game game even though we lost VVD is a monster and over the next few seasons building the defence around him it will be £75m well spent.

This is it in a nutshell.

You can't rely on being a transitional team in this league. Too many teams park the bus and are built to score from set pieces.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,067 ✭✭✭✭martingriff

Just knew this could happen with Swansea due to new manager and how well we went. How did we lose it the territory for that half would be mostly there half and that last chance. Disappointing but now we have to show character and bounce back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,319 ✭✭✭emo72

They're so ****. They win and their still bottom. And we couldn't beat them! Also they probably had one shot on target and scored. My ****ing god. What a team we are.

    Midfield so so poor.

Van Dijk our most creative player. I thought he was excellent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,480 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

WE NEVER GET FIVE GREEN W's IN LEAGUE TABLE. Knew we'd fail again. We just can't win five league games in a row under Klopp. This was a great chance to do that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Liverpool have only failed to score twice in the past 21 games.

Against Swansea and West Brom. The two bottom teams in the league table.

We are chasing a game and we bring on Danny ****ing Ings. If we have aspirations of going far in the champions league, fa cup and making sure of top 4 we need more quality.

We have 145 million pounds in the bank. We can sign plenty of good players with that war chest.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,882 ✭✭✭✭klose

It's not surprising in a sense, we had a great opportunity tonight and gave that massive cockload of a performance then. There's no way klopp can be happy to look to Danny ings and lallana for the rest of the season to rescue games, there simply has to be transfer work going on in the background. You never go the season playing brilliant football and you always lose a few so results like this happen but at this stage in the position we are it's a bitter pill.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭Alonso77

the only positive I can take from that game is that it is over.

    Hugely disappointing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 876 ✭✭✭Rumple Stillson

Such a poor performance and result.

No excuses for it, a performance lacking in courage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Some achievement to deservedly lose to Swansea but even Sunderland would have beat us tonight. Midfield were everything they weren't against City & the defence as usual don't hold out under little pressure as the attack had a total off night.
I won't mention the C word but Danny f**king Ings is our answer from the bench???

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,655 ✭✭✭Royal Legend

Well done Swansea, frustrated the fku% out of us.
Bobby very unlucky at the end.
