Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seriously, a signing is not going to solve everything.

It will however ease some of our worries

Looking at the way Pawson put his arm it looks as though it was for offside..

Bloody hell, this game is going to become like American Football at this rate.

Not often you see a January signing come in and have such a big impact like that immediately.

Fair play to VAR. Should really help his World Cup chances too.

Players need to respect the decision and walk away.

They really should be showing these replays in the stadium... garbage for the fans to just be sitting there.

matches are going to be 2hrs+ at this rate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

If they stop defenders ****ing around with attacking players all the time then im all in favour.

It's been a bit of a farce with the time taken but between stamping out a whole class of fouls and them ironing out the issues with the time it'll take I don't think it's that big an issue.

    We're ****e at pens.

It's incase of controversy, in that the crowd may disagree and actually riot.

It's on trial and will be perfected. It has made two correct decisions tonight. Worth the wait.

There are no large screens in Anfield.

Do they show it on screen in other venues with screens,

Must have only scored 1 peno this year out if how many 5?

Any player who tugs a shirt from here on will deserve a slap and a ban.

Nope, small screen on opposite side of pitch to dugout

So VVD doesn't instantly improve our defence.

    Quell surprise

Another thing they need to bring in from rugby, and it's ludicrous that they haven't, is no backchat and only captains or perhaps only 1 player at a time (because the captain is always on hand in rugby but mightn't be in football) talking to the ref from each team.

We're attacking pretty well for all the sleep-defending.
    Wijnaldum has been good.

I know that's why, but its awful reasoning. It's one thing when replays show a wrong decision was made, and someone's been screwed over - whereas this is the opposite. Everyone in the stadium is dying to see the replay, and the result always has a point of view to it.

It's drama, and people are there for entertainment. Honestly, if they fear people are going to riot cause of a decision made after watching replays, they shouldn't let anyone into the stadium at all. Think they should have just a wee bit more faith in the public, and allow VAR to become part of the entertainment, rather than detracting from it.

Barry gets a yellow, tells the ref to fcuk off, no second yellow. Somethings will always be the same.

That’s the easiest thing to fix, but they don’t have the backbone to actually do it. Turn the refs mics on like in rugby and then there can’t be any excuses for yellows or reds due to foul language directed at the ref.

No, its actively part of the VAR mandate that the public in the stadium are not allowed to see the decision as its being made, which is ridiculous imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Barry still on the pitch. No VAR needed. FFS

Surely time for Klopp to panic buy now

The screen tonight is beside both dugouts for some reason

Is there room on the opposite side, I know that they were supposed to put it where the bench’s can’t see or be in refs ear when he is having a look.. could be just that at Anfield the stands are practically on the pitch

Even so he'll never get it done in time for the second half.
