I'm not that bothered about Matip at the end of that move to be honest.... very awkward position to be in, where any forward touch will score an og, so all he can do is what he tried to do, sort of backheeling it out. With a ball smashed in, I can't be too hard on him for not pulling it off.

Everything defensively up to that point though, was horrendous.

Can can go to Juventus. Has been ****ing woeful recently. Who does he think he is running down his contract? He is slow and cumbersome, pedestrian.

Matip not up to it either. He really annoyed me in the last game, throwing a strop and blaming everyone else. **** again today. I had high expectations of him.

Mane is woeful on the left, should be on the right. His form went off a cliff when he was unceremoniously ****ed out of RW when Salah arrived. Salah can't maintain that form.

Is Wijnaldum actually playing?

I think he should stop the ball across the box for the third. He can't do anything for the first, and the second is past him before he can get down.

Can let his man run past him for the second and third. I'd blame him more though.

It was a bad half of ball alright. We have enough to get back into the game though, need more direct play. Some of the decision making all over the pitch has been woeful.

Its been a really weird game.

You know those highlight reels you'd watch on youtube of certain players? Well Emre Can has enough footage amassed in that first half alone to do him for a year of anti-highlight reels.

I think VAR is great, the correct decision is made at the time. I don't get why everyone is so wound up about it

VAR's slow but the two stops in the half both ended up needing VAR to get them correct. It's a new system, it'll get faster. Complaining because it's not perfect instantly is just dumb.

Hard to know what to make of that.

Sometimes it started to look good but despite West Brom ceding far more space we've failed to execute in those dangerous areas to any great degree.

We look well off top to bottom. Our attack might be escaping criticism with the way we've been defending but I think the lads up front have done just as bad a job.

VAR is kinda ****e but its being piloted, it will get streamlined and be better, rather have the correct decision.

Some here think he's fine and has improved as he's not had any obvious mistakes leading to goals like before but he provides zero cover for the centre backs.

Was shown to be jogging back to the box for the second goal, not anticipating danger in anyway and was nowhere to be seen for the third goal.
