Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd agree with others saying we haven't been any better that our previous games. Very pedestrian but got the goals at the right time.

I'd know it's silly to say with this Liverpool side, but i really can't see Huddersfield getting anything from this game now. They may pull one back alright as we allow teams to do, but we should be seeing out these three points now.

Yeah, this is all set up to be one of those games where we snag another one or two in the second half easily enough as they're forced to open up a little bit.

Would nearly take Salah off now (or soon) to rest him for Spurs, shift Mane to the right to see if it sparks him up a bit, and bring Ings on left.

Seriously, Salah does not need a rest for a game on Sunday.

Poor decision on the offside... VAR!

    Did he assist the goal.
They said so in commentary, but thought it was a touch from the defender that set Bobby free?

Yes he did, gotta give credit him for that nice one-two.

I'm 15 minutes behind the game, he was rubbish up to when I posted.

If things stay as they are tonight in this game and arsenal, and spurs drop points tomorrow it'll have been a great night for you.

Or from a pool pov would you rather spurs win tomorrow?

Well - I want Ings on first and foremost. So someone has to come off. And if we're gonna rest/protect anyone, I want it to be Salah.

It's a win win. Even a draw is a win. It's all winning.

I don't miss those weird lofted balls to the keeper from Hendo

I want to see good players play and score goals.

He's an elite athlete, highly paid and well capable of playing. Keeps the opposition in their place too.

Take him off around 70-80 mins, assuming the game is comfortable then.

BT sport saying how tight and compact Huddersfield are. 43 mins
BT sport saying how defensive and disappointed Huddersfield are 50 mins.

    So flippant.

Mane has been so strange this season. He's been poor for a lot of games, yet in those game he still has vitally important moments in terms of assists and goals.

OK, thats fine. We're allowed to have different opinions.

Of course Salah is well capable of playing the whole game, i've no doubt about that. That's not in question. But we have no depth up front aside from a guy coming back from the best part of 2 years out. One way or another, he's going to be required to start some games over the next few months. So - in my opinion - it's better if that happens after he's actually played a bit.

Matip is far to casual/languid at times.

Given that we won't be strengthening up front this window, the sensible thing is to want as big a gap as possible back to Spurs, so Utd win would be best. The proper thing though is to want Spurs to win to finish as high as possible. Our game vs Spurs on Sunday though is massive, regardless of the result tomorrow night.

Holding on to the win tonight though would be nice as a start.

Fair enough but I just don't agree with overprotecting players.

Best thing for players form is playing and goals.

Also some players are tougher than others. Suarez hardly ever got subbed and Salah already seems very strong. He's not like Sturridge.

It is. I'll watch it if we manage to win this one tonight.

Milner's been a mixed bag on the ball but he's been very handy off it. A good read to intercept the ball a minute ago.

Fair bad second half when they highlight Lallana & his child; followed by 30 seconds of silence.

I get where you're coming from - but the protection element is secondary for me - it's not necessarily that I want Salah off, I just want Ings on. So if one of those front three is coming off, I'd rather it be Salah as then Mane can move into his favored position and maybe get on the scoresheet.

But it really is that I think Ings desperately needs game time, and against a poor - and tiring - Huddersfield is a great opportunity.

<edit>> Oof, great run and effort from Mane!

Mane really should have buried that.

Jaysus, kinda under the cosh now.

Would like to see another goal just to wrap this up, just nervous of this defence.

Christ, on first viewing that looked a pen.... waiting for a replay..

<edit>. Hmmm, would have been soft enough alright, but I'm not sure any softer than Salah's over the weekend...

We're conspiring to let them score.

Crap opposition team run a lot and put pressure on us, and they usually score.

Salah should have wrapped it up though. Poor.

Think McManaman is talking rubbish about Salah's chance there. He had no time and had to take it first time.

Arsenal losing 3-1 to Swansea, we were just the boost in confidence they needed.

Thought it was a peno in real time, but after seeing the replay it was the right call from the ref.
