Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Matip with another **** up,the guy is as bad as lovren for me,anyway we've missed enough chances to be up at the break, wtf is wrong with mane, hasn't turned up at all this season

No, that’s an utterly stupid thing to say. I know they say an opinion can’t be wrong, but...

Come on Liverpool you absolute shower of ****'s.

Can at the start of the season was a joy to watch but his form has been brutal for ages now but continues to get game time. Not sure if Grujic is ready but I'd rather spend time developing a player that will actually be here next season than persisting with a player that wont be here next season and so badly out of form

Don't think Robertson is really up to a lot either, getting a lot of time and space down the left and doing very little. Didn't do great for the goal either. Moreno will come straight back into the team.

    I completely disagree.

I think he's shown a good understanding of space and tactical awareness and his delivery has been good.

The issue on that side is Mane and a failure to make good runs in the box.

He possibly does need to pick people out a bit more with his crosses but there's opportunities for front post runs and he's delivering the ball into that sort of area but nobody is chancing it.

That's one of the things we lack with this front four.

By far the best attacking work they do is done outside the box and that's where we create the space for our chances.
Once we're in there we neither have the finishing or the movement in the right areas, which I think is the biggest factor in our struggle to break certain teams down, but also why some days we can just tear teams to shreds.

It'd be nice if Solanke could start to show a bit of that. It seemed during pre-season that he had the right sort of presence in there to give the opposition a different problem to the others.

Nothing on Karius for the goal. It's a bad ball from Matip but if Can is at all arsed he can get to it, instead he walks over and puts in a lazy tackle.

Karius had ball and time to think and play safe. He did not think, he just offloaded the responsible onto Matip who was being closed. It then ended up with him needing to offload it, Karius started the domino effect that led to the goal.

    That's depressing.

Don't blame Robertson for the goal. Once the ball was lost they were right at our back four and it still took a brilliant pass from Iborra to barely get it past Robertson. Just can't lose the ball in that area. One decent pass and the opposition are in.
Just to clarify, it’s not on Robertson, but needed better positioning to help after the screwup by Matip (ball should have gone the length of the pitch when the pass wasn’t there) and then Can (who should have stayed on his feet, or get into a better position had he read the intent from Matip).

For all the stick Henderson gets I think we can see why the manager selects him pretty much every time he's available.

    Two lads dragging Lovren there

Jesus lads, I feel like I'm watching a different game to half of ye. Frustrating half for sure but we have created half a dozen chances. Same again after the break and we will score, I'm confident of that.

Mane looks poor though. That goal would have done him the world of good I think had he not been offside.

Oxlade Chamberlain on for him I would say. See how we go from there.

    Agreed. I think we'll win this 3-1.

Mané needs a longer rest. Awful.

You would wonder what Grujic needs to do to get a chance. Can brutal. Will be delighted to see the back of him to be honest. He plays well in small bursts and people think he is a world beater. He had been rarely better than average in his time with us. Wouldn't mind him as a squad player, but nothing more

To think some would have given him a bumper contract and made him captain last summer . . .

The only thing I'd be worried about with Grujic is that he looks to have Shelvey levels of gettingsentoff-edness.

Already feeling it's time for Klopp to swap out Can and Mane for Lallana and the Ox...

    Only Everton get those decisions.

Funny how the definition of 'contact' in the box has now changed from a few weeks ago.

    I love you Salah

If you know Schmelical punches the ball why aren't there two players ready to mop up just outside the area?

Fcuking cop out from the ref, book both so you don't have to take a stand

Can did well there, to be fair

I just realised who Maguire reminds me of in terms of playing style, and it’s a certain Slovakian I’d like to forget. :pac:

    Beautiful from Mané

What the hell were Leicester complaining about?

Absolutely. Can trying to get the ball off Maguire who no other intent than delaying it. Ridiculously from the ref.

Thats why you persist with an off the boil Mane. He's still really really good.

Klopp fist pumping Gomez’s tackles....love it.

True, he's been poor but still has that in him

Offside but that’s why Karius was ‘rotated’.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,698 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Jesus mane has the touch of a toddler. Ball rebounds further than the distance it travelled to him with every "touch"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,965 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Sure with no goal for one entire game Salah could be considered to have been out of form!

Dismal fair play by Leicester there.

Only Firminio should be booked. It’s Leicester’s ball as soon as it enters the net. Maguire got the ball. Firminio had no business trying to take it at all.
