I'm happy for him to be honest.

It's not like he pulled off some heel-turn - Liverpool sacked him. I'm sure if Liverpool offered him a job he'd be there in a second, but they didn't. They handed him his p45.

He's in the only other decent job in football where he can be close to his family and home.

Can’t fault the guy really, money is money especially for someone that wouldn’t have made a lot of cash in his days but I couldn’t give a toss about him and his 297 appearances whilst he’s there.

I think the key to the keeper may well be the new centre back fella - he looks like a natural captain to me and being Dutch will give any German a hard time - not to mention Belgians.

Thought Gomez had a very good game, had lots of pace, got up and down plenty and looked decent in defence. Robertson looked decent considering a lack of games without being outstanding. Milner looked a little off the pace to be honest and Can was non-existent.
