How do you know if volume is high or low?

For example Ryanair is 20000 (I assume in a day) but share price is 13.44.

Does DeGiro have a volume graph anywhere?

As I said before, I'm sure some prices/price changes aren't accurate.. some posted over weekend or people mentioning the price they paid and no price in the post itself. Not as in depth as it could be but this still took me two hours..! :P

Wow, if you sort the columns by % gains it looks very interesting, there are a couple of posters here that seem to be good at picking stocks!

Bought the 6.1 3 months ago. Bought the 6.1 plus this week. Will sell the 6.1. phenomenal phones for the money

Look at the top 4 smart phone brands, 1 you can't invest in huawei, Samsung is about right but i'd expect it to grow over 12mts, Apple is loosing market share, and the 4th which I called earlier with the highest yoy growth has tanked for no apparent reason and might overtake apple in the next 6mts. Nokia is no where near the 4 of them.
Think nokia only get a max 3 euro for any 5g devices coming which isn't massive revenue to rocket the share price. HMD are making the money but you can't invest in them either.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,502 ✭✭✭q85dw7osi4lebg

I think your should dump Nokia, I've been in and out of it a few times, I think the Aisans will be big in Asia, could be wrong but I think it might be worth keeping an eye on XIACF (Nasdaq)

I’ve never tipped NVIDIA or Blizzard, I did tip PAVM though which isn’t attributed to me.

    Pretty sure Blizzard was me.

Wish I had put more into it in hindsight

Your right didn't check just watching it to start trending up before jumping in, see the Hong Kong one but there expensive to buy I think, better put in a request with Degiro then they'll probably list it

Think I tipped Nvidia after my son told me to. He also told me to jump on AMD at the time :)

In Degiro, if you look at the price chart for the stock, in the top right there is a button for "Interactive Graph".This pops out into a separate tab and includes a chart for volume. You can also add a lot of different technical analysis indicators if technical analysis is your thing. Only discovered this feature a few weeks ago but I was impressed, it's quite well put together.

No, that one only works in Google Sheets (not in Excel)

There are APIs you can use for getting stock values into Excel, but I'm not using any (I am using them for crypto and fx rates though)

TTWO has been a real juggernaut or late, red dead out next month and has generated huge interest. Expecting it to continue its upward trend

Nintendo also looks like great value currently, have some interesting titles coming up for release before EOY which should create some buzz, especially late November/Early December

Reckon we'll see ALT get diluted AH today, feel sorry for anyone who tries to hold on over the weekend.

Spreadsheet man certainly didn't reccomend Neflix at 370. Ironically I sold mine but didnt advice buying at that price!!

Also I did reccomend Pluristem at 1.25 pretty recently. That's all actually.

    Goodyear tyres.

Down 30% since January but has just landed contract to supply oem tyres for the new Audi E-tron. Likely means will be the OEM tyre on all VW groups electric offerings for the foreseeable. Just got in at $24.35

Canada if you want to watch the fireworks from home in the evenings and Europe if it's sneaking a peak at work.
Maybe just look at the fees.
I find the 'original' market is easier to follow discussions about and do analysis on graphs with larger volumes traded etc.
Good luck with it, if the GVH treatment comes through (whenever that'll be!!) It would be revolutionary.
Meanwhile they're into handcreams or some such to pay the bills. I think there's a lot of manipulation going on but reckon it'll follow the same pattern... a few swings from 9 to 16.... then rocket ... then dump. Although coming up to legalisation things might be different this time.
There's other hot biocannapharma at the moment like tetra biopharma and InMed! But as we know on here any biopharma is risky stuff.

Thanks, is there a difference in the fees for buying either on degiro?

    Actually not that much https://www.degiro.ie/data/pdf/ie/IE_Feeschedule.pdf
When you click to buy it'll give you the total fee before you proceed with the transaction anyway.

Forgot to mention, the European clearing house degiro use (Clearstream) is delisting a lot of 'these types of stocks' in the next few days/weeks, so it should be better to just go through canada. http://www.clearstream.com/clearstream-en/products-and-services/settlement/a18102/98070

You may still be able to purchase them in Euro but what happens after that is unclear (Degiro said they are looking into it..2 months ago). They might transfer them over, they might just sell them off at the cutoff date and give you whatever the price is on that day!!

Jsut following on from Canadian cannabio stocks

Some positive news on Tetra-Bio Pharma TBP:TSV in terms of fybromyalgia treatment and phase 2,3,4 trials HERE.

Id be interested to get anyones' opinion of it on here... leaving all the hype of these stocks aside.

Edit: This is not a tip just yet :pac:

Yeah, given the fees involved in selling them it doesn't make sense to dump them I think, only in for about €50 or so myself so no harm, just frustrating to see them continually drop, hopefully they turn around

Worth a punt today? More drugs in the pipeline, possibly oversold? Thinking longer term.

Looking very long term I think. They won't have anything going to trials until late 2019, early 2020.

Their current market cap is a reflection of the cash they have at bank. Cash pile will obviously reduce as they continue their studies. Will share price fall in tandem without any news of progress?

Personally I wouldn't take a punt on it as I already have my bottom drawer biotech stock

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,095 ✭✭✭ANXIOUS

And you know what happens when they run out of cash, dilution which kills share price. I'd say hold off and wait until the fire goes out.

Good idea, I was trying to ask such a novice question to only one person to save my embarrassment .

I am trying to purchase €100 worth of stock that is currently 0.07. I have more in my account which will cover the fees. So my thinking was I'd be able to purchase 1428 shares.

    Bid vol is 31250

    Bid is 0.07

    Ask is 0.108

    Ask volume is 10,000

So I put my number at 1,428 and my limit at 0.07 and the order hasn't gone through. Am I correct is saying that's because there is only a person willing to sell 10000 at 0.108?

But yes there's nobody willing to sell at that price.

0.07 is more than just a penny stock, dangerous.
