    Very windy right now on the west cork coast, had to bring in the bins because they were getting blown away! Rain has stopped, but more clouds look to be coming.

    Very windy right now on the west cork coast, had to bring in the bins because they were getting blown away! Rain has stopped, but more clouds look to be coming.

    That matches the above, nothing much showing on the radar at the moment rainwise west of Cork city.

    Illustrates how ludicrous county based warnings are. Coastal areas will have entirely different wind conditions from inland areas of the same county.

    The center of the rapidly deepening storm should be off the W coast now. Strongest winds an hour or so before they start to impact the coasts.

    Was some fairly violent gusts in West Clare there, got one of 55kts.

    Mean speed 21 knots here at the mo with the odd gale gust. Winds veered from SE to S and then to SW about 30 mins ago.
