Dublin 15 checking in, moderate rain with a good amount of graupelly stuff in it, its a strange one, the metal of the cars has slush building up while its regular puddles on the road. Very knife edge, hopefully the temp and DP will be dragged lower

Clearing off now,but still a huge range in temperature from South to North, Valentia is currently 13 degrees, whereas Knock and Claremorris are 0, that does not happen very often

more like graupel here now, about half an inch covering.

would be nice if a frost set in and the snow there in the morning, but it will probably be long melted by daybreak.

    Thick thick sleet in Lucan.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,026 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

The sleet suddenly went pretty quiet in D15 and sure enough it has changed to snow. Surely wont last long....

Dublin TAF has just been amended to account for the sleet that's been falling. Casement's has not, sticking with rain.

Just took a few pics of the snow to annoy the kids in the morning when they're wading through the puddles in their wellies.

Will post 1 or 2 here if i figure out how, ha

Continued torrential rain here in S.Kildare at ~70m asl. Checked now and then and saw no transition to even sleet unless my eyes decieved me. Quite abit of surface flooding developing in the garden and roads around our house. A degree here or there for many areas could have seen a decent snow covering such is the intensity of the precipitation, as some are now seeing.

It's been snowing constantly for over an hour now, the ground is just bit too wet at my location but the roofs and fields are white. Its been a while since I seen proper snow falling like this
