So I built my first ever PC yesterday, got it all up and running and then was trying to get my computer to boot USB first to upload Windows ISO file I have on my stick. I ended up messing around with the BIOS stupidly and disabled the USB ports..I now cant use my keyboard to get into the BIOS to change it back. I have an MSI B150A Motherboard, I read somewhere about a jumper cap to put on the JBAT1 2 and 4 instead of the 1 and 2 but I don't see one on my motherboard nor did it come with it. I need to clear the CMOS apparently, just unsure how to do it and wary I don't know what I'm doing..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Turn off, remove BIOS battery, hold power to discharge capacitors, replace BIOS battery, reboot.

Had to do that myself when I somehow set my CPU to start at 0.5V :pac:

Most newish MSI boards have a clear Cmos button.

Looking at yours I think its below the CMOS battery, check the manual.

Got it sorted, just removed the battery and left it for 10 mins and all worked again. Now just have to find out how to get my USB stick to be recognised with Windows on it!

Make sure UEFI i turned on.

You can force boot via the selection F8 ?

Yeah I have Windows on a stick, and have it at the front of the boot options but it's just not recognising it and I just constantly get a message saying 'Reboot and select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key'.

You would be surprised at how often just removing the CMOS battery will fix a problem.

Bridging the "Clear COMS" pins also does the job.

Did you just stick the .iso file on the USB key? That won't work, you need to use the ISO file to create a boot disk.
