    Guys / Gals,
Is there anything like 'Park on my Drive' or the likes near Shannon Airport???
We will need to park up for 4 weeks and Shannon Airport will cost the guts of €150 ... any other options??? The hotels nearby dont seem to offer just parking ... family with small kids travelling so parking in Ennis and busing it not going to work

Never heard of this, but if parked in a private driveway who would have responsibility for the vehicle?
Who pays in the event of damage, break in or theft etc etc?

Do you have to tell your insurance company that you will be leaving your car for a prolonged period of time?

It does sound like an opportunity for someone to 'rent space' in their driveway ..... but I would be concerned about the responsibility for the vehicle with such an arrangement.

Sorry did not mean to derail the thread.

I'm not really sure to be honest, my SIL uses it in the UK at least 4 times per year and she hasn't had any issues with it.
I would imagine that your regular car insurance would cover you ... same as if you parked on the street or other car parks in towns ( eg that have disclaimer signs up) ... I could be wrong though.
    My SIL uses

Any chance of getting dropped to the airport by family/a friend? Or getting a Taxi?

€150 is probably reasonable enough considering the cheap car park in Shannon is still within a short walk of the terminal building. I paid €77 for 2 weeks and while I would have liked to get it cheaper I feel better that it's in a reasonably secure place. There's 10-20 minutes free at the set down area so I was able to drop all the family and bags off right outside the door, park the car and then walk back down empty handed.

No option for anyone to drop us really - its a 2 hour drive from home at least.

The €150 is for the farther Long Term car park - the closer one is €210 for the 2 weeks ...I know its not that far but I was hoping to get costs down a bit ... if needs be I will pony up the €150 but just wanted to see if there were any other resonable options first.

Use code EM18IELP in looking4parking website, a bit cheaper and you will dropped off and collected at airport on your return, car locked into a warehouse while you are away.

    It's about 126 euro for 4 weeks,

Thanks a mill!!! Its coming up at €130.50 for our stay which is a good saving.
The only thing is I dont know the area very well and the directions are a little vague as in the exact building ... do I just contact Looking4Parking to get an exact on it ... or even a phone number for the parking place?
    Thanks again!!

Seems to be the same parking facility but this is their own website i think, there is a mobile number and directions, you maybe able to negotiate a better price when dealing direct with them.

Have you been and back, how did you find their service, I have nothing negative to say about them, always provided a quality service and as far as I know, will wash and valet your car for an additional fee if you so wish.

Ah thanks! Shouldn't need it this time though as the car park is at a garage :)
