We have what is normally a small millrace out the back normally about 2-3 metres wide, it's at least 10 times as wide now. There is flooding up town too as the river has burst its banks. Seems to be brightening from the West, will be glad to see the sun come out.

Max today an incredibly mild 14.4c. I didnt check my records but can't imagine many higher Jan temps at my station. Currently partly cloudy and 10.9c We missed a lot of today's rain and just recorded 4.5mm.

Some of the farmers around here are saying it was the worse flooding in 30yrs around my way. We had some roads partially washed away. What is usually a trickle of water through a stone drain, turned into a small river through my back garden and flooded the septic tank completely.
