    Hi there
We've just bought an apartment - previous owner had Pinergy - but apartment has been empty for many months and no supply there at present. What's the process if we wanted to get a supply from yourselves ?.

    Many thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Could you advise if the supply at the property has been disconnected, or if there is currently no power at the property because the Pay As You Go Pinergy meter at the premises is out of credit?

If you are unsure, could you send us a private message with the Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) of the property? We can then confirm this for you.

If a property has been fully disconnected a charge of €79.45 will apply in order for ESB Networks to reconnect the supply to the main meter.

Should the property have been fully disconnected for more than six months, an electrician will need to inspect the wiring at the premises, and send a wiring certificate to ESB Networks.

If you wish to register with Electric Ireland, this can be completed over the phone with a member of the Electric Ireland Sales team. They are available to call on 1850 305 090, from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5:30pm on Saturday. A full list of the offers available to new customers with Electric Ireland can be viewed online here.

Should you have any questions regarding the above, please let us know.

    Thanks,
    Brige
