Can a credit union book be used as a proof of address when opening a bank account?

    Bank of Irelands website said a proof of a address can be a current statement from a credit or financial institution, my address is in my credit union book,does it count as a proof of address?

    Depends if they consider the Credit Union "book" a statement. Do you not have an actual statement from the Credit Union?

    A Credit Union book is not a statement from a finiancial institution , but since you have a Credit Union book ,you should have a Credit Union statement.
