Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Never a pen and Wilshere should be off.

Go back to 0-0 and start again.

Strange sub. Cesc has been pretty good.

Good consistency from the ref at least, wrong on both calls, but consistent

Wilshere should be off anyway so I'll say thats 1-1 in the bad decision call.

No way he should be off, he might have looked for contact but it was offered and he was right to take it

Probably one of those that thinks its not a contact sport.

Morata cant score with his feet.

Hes f**king useless when given time to think.

Being on a yellow had something to do with it.

It was a blatant dive, Taylor didnt see it properly but theres no way he should be on the pitch.

There was contact. Do you agree Hazard is a cheat and should be booked?

I think it was a penalty. Caught him and stopped him getting to the ball he'd just controlled.

Okay arguing Hazard dived while also arguing that Wilshere didn't is bonkers.

  • VAR can't come quick enough tbh

    One was contact, one wasn't.

Yeah Hazard actually got slightly hit, it's still a dive though. Wilshere threw himself to the ground and kicked the defender on the way down.

    They're both dives.

Minimal contact on both, one is told to get up the other is handed a goal

He can hold whatever he wants, there was contact and it was a foul.

That's fair enough if you think that but why was he holding his shin.

So many Arsenal midfield players in recent years that could be said for, between himself, Diaby, Rosicky, Cazorla, Ramsey etc.
All brilliant when they get a run of games, but so so injury prone.

With a competent ref there's no foul

    OK, illegal contact.

Are you seriously claiming it was a foul? In what way was he impeded? He threw himself to the ground, and deliberately cheated.

It's a consequence of Wenger questioning the integrity of his fellow ref the weekend.

If I was Wenger I would call it out again, he'll be punished but it'll draw more attention to it

I think ability is more of an issue than integrity to be honest.

Lucily that didnt fall to Morata :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

If it's not enough to make him go down, it's not illegal.

That's not entirely correct though, you don't have to go down for it to be a foul. I'm fully on the side of that not being a penalty for Hazard but the player falling down has nothing to do with the rules.

Great finish but Maitland-Niles was terrible, beaten way to easily..very uncommitted to stop that ball
