moving apartment and handing over electricity account to housemate

I'm going to be moving when my lease is up at the end of the month but my housemate is staying on, the electricity bills are in my name and I want to hand them over to him. I can't seem to find out about the process for this. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Ring the Electricity supplier & they will help you. It would be a help if he was with you when you make the call as they will be looking for his details.

You close your account. He opens a new account. They will need a closing reading from you.
