Just wanted to see if anyone knew of any free on Street parking around 5 lamps area due to start a new job there in a few weeks

Around here should still have free parking. It's a bit dodgey to be honest. Should be able to avoid parking in front of someones house though, less likely to get hassle.

Also here, in East Wall. Another 10 minute walk away though.

Just don't park beside a solid white line like one of the cars in that first streetview pic, you could end up with a ticket.

At the junction of Oriel St and Sherrif just below the billboard there's space for about 6 cars. Don't think you're meant to park there but there does be cars there every day and they never get clamped or ticketed. There's often a garda car parked there.

Preston Street, just off Amiens Street has free parking if you get there early enough. I'd avoid the last few spots close to the railway arch/derelict house as addicts tend to use it to shoot up/as a toliet.

Remember when local youngsters used to do the work of the local traffic warden when they would come on site on Amien street and collect all our parking fees in advance.
Used to be able to pay 5 day parking on Monday morning and that was it. Dead handy.
Those who forgot to pay used to have to check their insurance policies soon afterwards.
