Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think it's been a good atmosphere for most of the game.

Jagielka has been an animal in this game.

Love Firmino, didn't stop sprinting from the time that ball was lost until it went out of play

That look on Sammy Lee's face could go on a stamp!

A player on the post would of cleared that, I never understand why teams don't put players on the post to defend corners especially late on.

Pickford just isn't premier league ready yet. I think he'll be a great keeper in a year or two.

Well then Liverpool should buy him cause Karius is shockin

The best part if it stays like this is that Sam will be extra salty over the penalty.

It would have been a disgrace had we not won this game. Other than a 20 minute spell after Everton got the goal, they had no intention of trying to play football.

    It's the Big Sam way.

They are quite a limited team I think anyway.

game decided by a non-penalty for a dive.
    Jagielka was MOTM for me.

Comfortable win in the end. Never in doubt.

Think Everton could’ve made it slightly more competitive if they considered playing rather than fouling and diving.

    Not a penalty for Liverpool.
Matip got fouled for the Everton goal.

So VVD scored the only goal.

    Suits me.

Nah the Everton lads are right, Liverpool cheated their way through the game, Everton should have won :)

Sad to see everton resort to big sam and his dinosaur football. Feels like a real low point for them as a club. At least koeman and martinez went for it.

Everton were managed by David Moyes for 10 years and even prior to that had to endure Walter Smith. I doubt Allardyce's style will be a shock to the system.

Anyway, Koeman may have "went for it" but the players didn't. I bet it feels a lot better in mid table with Allardyce than it did in the bottom 3 with Koeman

I disagree with the first part. Sam's football is awful, tonight was actually a big improvement on the last few games. It's better results wise and the players seem more 'up for it' but both of those were purely down to Koeman and the players not seeming to want to play for him - it just not having a clue what he wanted them to do.

I obviously agree with the second part and live in hope that Sam will change his tactics once he gets a missing piece or two of his own choosing in. Time well tell.

Aside from all the slagging etc, Everton should be aiming higher than Big Sam and I think they will. He'll be gone in 12-18 months
