    Hello,

Any help would be appreciated before I fork out money for a specialist.

My alarm keeps going off last week or so and saying Tamper Zone 3. It goes off even if I omit the zone by doing 0#5*3 and it even goes off when I haven’t set the alarm!

Is there a way to disable this zone through the keypad using the engineers code? If so where can I get this code?

    Thanks in advance

It goes off as its a tamper.
Yes, if you go into eng mode. Zone menu, zone types you can set it to unused.
If its wired non end of line then you could short out the tamper side of the zone in the control panel.

Probably caused by a faulty device or wiring on that zone. The correct procedure to find this problem would be to test the resistance for the tamper loop on that zone.
Do you know if the zone is set up as non eol, single eol or duel eol?

Thanks for the reply. I’ve no clue what way the zone is set up. Is there a way for me to check that?

How do I go about testing the resistance?

I thought I’ve engineer permissions with my actual pin code as it allows me to set up a new user with a separate code from mine but when I enter it I don’t see an engineer mode option but a manager mode option. Is that the same thing? When I select manager menu a new set of options comes up but none for zone menu

You would need engineer access or use of a multimeter.

Can anyone tell me if manager mode and engineer mode are the same or different? Alarm keeps going off today even though it’s not set. Same Tamper message for same zone as before...

Manager Menu is just an advanced user menu. Engineer menu let's you configure the whole system.
You would need the engineer code to fully disable the system and stop tampers activating.

Unfortunately Boards.ie do not allow us to help you with codes.

No. You will need to get a registered installer out as each company will have their own codes.
