Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

By the way, there's a programme on Channel 4 tonight at 7pm called The World's Wildest Weather which features Svalbard, whose average temperature in 2016 was 6 degrees higher than usual. Big lumps of ice melting and collapsing all over the place!

Missed it but I'll try the player. Thanks.
A desolate place when I was there. Three of us in tents for two months.

It's great, really remote, a really different way of life. Northern lights were fabulous. I'm going again in a few weeks time.

Yes you're right, we don't tend to think of Australia and New Zealand as east.
We seem to think they are western nations.

In that case the further east I was in was Auckland, New Zealand
