Spent the day in clogherhead. it was absolutely glorious....sympathies to those in the western provinces enduring rip roaring rain and horrible lightning storms ;)

Just looked at the ME forecast for tomorrow and saw there was a yellow thunder storms warning. What is really fascinating though is the way the thunderstorms exactly align with the county boundaries. Amazing.

Not a cloud in the sky here in Wexico.

Lovely day in Cork. Still 19C and sweating :/

How come the heat feels like so much more than the official temps!

Edit: the humidity is 75 is that a lot.?

Haven't seen a good old fashioned Atlantic LP for what seems like ages.

    Weds. / Thurs

ARPEGE shows most of the rain missing us, GFS shows plenty of rain and ECM shows rain later in the day ( heavy in places along the W side of the country ). ECM also showing windy conditions along Atlantic coasts.

That's what happens when the weather comes from the W. Fohn in the East.

Another stunning day today, some big convection visible off to the west from afternoon on but never threatened to disrupt the sunshine

temps finally at June normal after 17 days in May/June above

    Max in Sligo today 17.9c

tomorrow the same but no rain until Wednesday n the grass in Sligo is gone yellow from drought in places for first Summer in 5 years

A month of little rain will make it brown n think Leinster might see this but the West will get 30mm of rain from Wednesday thru Sunday next then more dry hopefully

Even more amazing is that they always skirt Mayo! Like the snow last winter. met.ie knows this as we are never on the list...just a vague reference to Connaught

The feeling and fear of “going back into normal boring weather” is beginning to set in now.

Also the fear of not getting the weather we’ve recently had ever again for the rest of the summer

13.1c but with dewpoints down on recent values, it feels pleasantly chill. Still have windows wide open in the attempt to cool down the house a bit.

Just back from sitting in the garden. 16 degrees. Had a very light rain shower (didn’t even wet anything, way lighter then what net weather showed). Had a great night overall sitting in the garden. Love this weather! (In the garden at nearly 1am and still warm! Brilliant!)

It's the balmy evenings that I love. Wandered around town today, was a lovely atmosphere. Was like being on holiday :)

We must have had some small amounts of rain in Dublin 6. The roofs are wet as is the grass. Its more than dew but nothing on the radar?

It's probably from the fog, I don't think it rained.

15 consecutive days of 20c plus in a row in West Clare. Doubt we'll make a 16th.

Looks like the good spell is over here. Cloudy and cool now.

Agree. It's a long long way back from this once the rot sets in.
The trend of the Azores disappearing in summer and building strongly every winter is hard to take!
