Last night was incredibly warm, it was still 16C by 5am this morning, now its only 12C, same cool morning as yesterday. Unlike yesterday, today will not heat up in record time so a much fresher day today everywhere. Looking forward to proper sun and high temperatures starting from Sunday and long may it last!.

Only 0.6mm from that rain system fell here north of Kilkenny city, bringing the grand total for the month of June to 10.2mm. Last decent rainfall was May 12th when 12.6mm fell, has been really dry since then.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,088 ✭✭✭pauldry

Yeah yesterday was our first decent rain since May 21st when we had 12.1mm

    Yesterday 19.4mm

Not much in NW in next 7 days at all bar foggy mist n some light showers

Dont think the next week hot spell will be all plain sailing though
e.g Thunderstorms or Mist in NW could be common

Also really windy today so its undid a lot of rains benefit

Bright and breezy. Rather fine. And the earth renewed after the much- needed rain

sun finally shining here again, ground bone dry and 17C, not feeling too bad. From tomorrow each day will rise a few degrees.

Quite pleasant this evening in Coolock. Nice evening sunshine but a lot of clouds in the way. It felt chilly when I was out but it was 12c. Chilly but the nice type of chill.

First proper night sleep in weeks. The last few weeks have been an absolute misery, lack of sleep, my SAD acting up and hayfever. The only silver lining is today is the longest day and thinks should be head back in the right direction.

Fresh to the point of chilly this morning. ( West Mayo offshore..)

Odd thing is that even with the promised hot weather, I am stocking up for winter. Seriously! Starting a hoard already. Seems to matter this year..

Lovely here now.Sun , blue sky , sweet breeze. If is would just stay like this and not go rushing into extremes.

some nice sun here but that breeze is chilly, kinda similar to the easterly sun we had a few weeks ago.

Blue skies and sun in West Clare, it's quite strong but the coolish temperatures take the whack off it.

    And so it begins.

It's mostly cloudy in Glasnevin. 17.8C.

Gorgeous at Grange with bags of sunshine. Feeling warm in the sun but chilly in shelter of it.

That seems a little excessive, are you reading it from a car?

Tell your neighbor to get a new station, and also, get your car checked. It wasn't 22c at any point today. I'm in Cork too.

idk his station is reading 18.7 now almost an hour after, pretty accurate, but ok will tell him to buy a new one :p

We have nearly clear skies again. It's still quite breezy. It's 17.7C now. The high was 19.1C. The dewpoint's quite low at 5.2C with the humidity down at 40% an hour ago. I presume the humidity is due to rise over the next week as temperatures rise.
