MS Word Query - Reviewing Pane

    I'm reviewing a large document. It has over 5000 formatting changes and only 20 additions and a similar amount of deletions.

    The reviewing pane show all of these. I would like to remove the formatting changes so I can clearly review the updates made.

    I've gone into the Track Changes Options and the formatting checkbox was already deselected. So why am I still seeing these updates?

    How do I get the Reviewing Pane to only show the additions/deletions made between the two docs I'm comparing?
