Seems to be a barrier around meath, showers breaking up when they get near here while snowing in counties around us, lol

was in Navan earlier and just cold, cold rain. Even if it was snowing, it wouldn't even provide a dusting, the showers are over as soon as they start.

A few bits of drizzle in the cold wind here in Dunshaughlin. I'm not expecting much more here. Temps on the rise here all morning.

In Wicklow we had a mix of everything at about 11am, quite a lot of big flakes but equally a lot of rain. More coming off the hills soon it looks like but so far temps not falling.

Plenty of shower activity around so when conditions become more favourable this afternoon almost anywhere could see some flakes. I'm confident we will see some here in Waterford City. Current Temp 4.4c DP 3.2c

The tension in the City Center is palpable.
I've heard everything from snowmageddon to thunder snow.:pac:
Even a security guard said they could be snowed in.

I jokingly suggested he close up and go home but then he told me he did that during Ophelia and never got paid:pac: poor chap.

sun back here now. Showers are mostly rain or sleet across the country with some snow flakes in the heavier sections. Northern Ireland, Cavan and Monaghan seems to be the only areas seeing the real deal, it's just far too marginal elsewhere.

Nice fluffy flakes here now outside Tullamore - the ground is very wet though

Just took a quick scout through ticknock forest in the car.
No lying snow at that level, but was snowing fairly hard at that time.

I'd say it'll be a winter wonderland by this evening if any of you are thinking of contingency plans
