already clearing up here now and sun appearing. The shower looked really big on the radar, but they are not hanging about for more than 5 to 10 minutes at the very most.

Moderate wee snow in Swords now close to the airport. First time today, everything else has been sleet/snow mix.

Wet snow in Dublin city centre. Turns back to sleet and rain every now and then. If we got heavy showers I don't think it'd stick. Ground is very wet

We have a hypnotised toddler here in Dublin 7, watching some very big flakes chucking it down. Nothing sticking, but I'm just happy to see it fall.

Snowing again in Kilkenny. Looks like lots of snow on Mt Leinster, on foothills too not just upper levels.

sleet turned to proper snow for few minutes just there in Blackrock, no hope of it sticking but still more than I'd have expected.

Might be good news for ye All further east ( which is nearly everyone ). The precipitation now hitting the west coast of Donegal is getting closer and closer to proper snow. (1:57pm)

About an hour of wet snow here near Arklow
Not a hope of sticking here after all the rain but it's wet snow so far anyway but has on the hills
Expecting better stuff later but not much

Light to moderate snow shower has left a slushy film over the garden. Hopefully we will get more precipitation throughout the afternoon and evening

Cold and damp in Dublin city centre.

Heaviest hail shower with a lot snow mixed in falling in years here now in Cork City suburbs! Very windy too, could the snow shield be failing ?? ;)

If anything this should greatly lower the temps hopefully for later on as I can see the hail starting to stay a bit!

Edit: and we have some wet snow with big flakes appearing. About 29m ASL

Blizzard like conditions for the last 10 minutes in Castlebar, everything is white out, DP down to -1C and some gusts of 65 km/hr.
