Certainly now coming under serious pressure. When you're writing this sort of nonsense about, not one, but two heads of the FBI.

“Spent very little time with Andrew McCabe,” Trump tweeted, “but he never took notes when he was with me. I don’t believe he made memos except to help his own agenda, probably at a later date. Same with lying James Comey. Can we call them Fake Memos?”

Doesn't know that contempraenous notes taken after a meeting are as valid as notes whilst at a meeting.

BTW, Comey book out nest month. That should be interesting.
Comey will publish a book, entitled A Higher Loyalty, next month. On Saturday he tweeted: “Mr President, the American people will hear my story very soon. And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not.”

Trump's tenure at President so far has been pure farce, but hugely entertaining. There will be a few more twists and turns, but Trump will no doubt stick it out. In power, he and his gang have leverage and control to obstruct. Rotten is what history will say, but the Stock markets are doing very well and that's what matters, nothing to do with morals, principles, truth or decency. Facebook under the cosh for allowing Cambridge Analytica access to 50 million users..to help with getting Trump elected. Did I say rotten.

No doubt he will get plenty of money out of that.
Do they not have some sort of non-disclosure clause on leaving such high profile state employment? Maybe that only covers the disclosure of actual facts though.

Meanwhile it transpires that Mc Cabe actually fell foul of the FBI's own professional minimum standards, despite trying to portray his "dismissal" as a vindictive POTUS out to get him.
Mr McCabe had stepped down from his position as FBI deputy director in January but remained on leave pending retirement.
His departure was triggered by a critical report from the Justice Department's inspector general that eventually led the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility to recommend he be fired.
The report, which has yet to be made public, says Mr McCabe misled investigators about his communications with a former Wall Street Journal reporter who was writing about Mr McCabe's role in probes tied to Mrs Clinton, including an investigation of the Clinton family's charitable foundation.

So he had effectively quit before they had a chance to fire him.
But the chancer was still hoping to head off into the sunset with a gilt edged pension and a golden handshake.

Ah well, if he's stuck for a few bob, he can always write a book ;)

    I said as much above.

No problem with him being fired- but the idea that DT fired him because of how he mistreated Hillary and not because of how he was investigating DT and Russia is a nonsense (see tweet from DT)

    Mistreated, is that a typo?

CNN has just reported that Rob Mueller has possession of some of McCabes memos AND has interviewed McCabe. If they contain McCabe's recording of details of his meeting/s with Don similar to a smoking gun and withstand cross-checking then Don has a lot to fear. I expect a lot of legal bluster from Don's lawyers and tweets from Don about how he's doing MAGA things for the US.

It's probable that if Mueller does have some of McCabes memos he might have gotten them over the past few days, given how the media were fairly open about how he was going to be fired by Don.

Now how this will affect Don and Jeff's relatioship has to be seen yet, if the firing hasn't had the shutting-off effect Don wanted. Don might be vexed enough to fire Jeff as the firing advice didn't work, MCabe is still out there, a clear and present danger to Don's Admin causing him to look over his shoulder at the legal section of his cabinet.

It's being reported today on Reuters that 3 sources who were witnesses to the Trumps foreign policy team meeting have stated that Sessions did not object to the Papadopolous plan to meet Russians re Hillary emails. Sessions stated under oath that he 'pushed back'. He was already in trouble for lying about the Kysliak meetings. If Trump fires him it will be with Sessions blessing. Both men will sink or swim together

Cambridge Analytica scrambling to stop channel 4s expose of an undercover meeting with CEO Nix. Apparently it's devastating.

The penalty for lying to a Parliamentary Committee or Inquiry should be the same as for lying in court.
In both cases, the intent is to mislead, a fundamental element of democratic government.

That cambridge story is a big one.

But on Sessions, I wonder if the stories floating now are lining up his firing..

His twitter feed is beyond bizarre today. You'd have to start to wonder if he's the full schilling anymore?

    This from Mcabe's lawyer:

"We will not be responding to each childish, defamatory, disgusting & false tweet by the President. The whole truth will come out in due course,"

    Quite.

Stuff now come at him from various angles and coming to a head. Not the same as the past. It's all now catching up.
With all the pressure, I think he will make the misstep of trying to fire Mueller. He just won't be able to resist himself.

For someone who protests his innocence, he sure set out like there was going to be something to be covered up...

Anymore ? He wasn't the full bob to begin with.
I see in the request to move the stormy Daniels lawsuit to federal court trumps appears to admit he was party to something that he claims never took place. The First Lady may want to watch this carefully.

Her interview with Jake Tapper on 60 Minutes, will be televised next week. Maybe that's what's really itching him.

That will be tv appointment viewing. The man has zero self awareness in any way. The GOP will at some point start to see the trump factor isn't as great as they think. If the midterms in November go badly, expect a change of tone for the GOP as a whole.

    The interview was postponed.

I initially thought that was bad news - i.e. stormy buckled, but according to the station they didn't broadcast as the journalism wasn't complete.. as in there was more to report than they expected.

Trump is in for one hell of a week in terms of pressure

It's already taped so, Stormy won't be backing down. One suspects the legals are going over it, minutely. The delay has only upped the viewership.
The American public would accept a divorce and remarrying but to be branded a, wife cheater, will damage him, even with his base.

I feel sorry for Melania. Some reports suggest that he was having his affair with Stormy (who was an active porn star at the time) while Melania was pregnant with Baron and while he was a baby. All this will be played out on the world stage. The Donald is a classy guy.

I don't feel sorry for Melania. She knew what she was getting into.

Hard to feel sorry for her she knew the kind of man she was marrying and she did it anyway for the money

I'm sure she knew that The Donald wasn't above reproach as a human being. However, I very much doubt if she anticipated that he would be having regular sex with a porn star while she was pregnant with their first child.

If what Daniels says is true and proven, The Donald can forget the female vote if he survives at all.

Melania knew what she was getting into to a certain point, I doubt she expect it to end up with her living in the White House though. Baron is the one to feel sorry for. Hopefully when it all comes tumbling down around Trump there is enough left to cover the therapy bills for Baron.

Some women just want the world to burn and will vote him regardless

Just look at the after math of pussy gate

But we are faced with 2 scenarios. Either it happened or it didn't.

If it happened, then whether or not she anticipated it is irrelevant. She now knows and chooses to do nothing. Why not move back to Trump Tower?
Of it didn't happen, then she surely should expect that he do everything to prove it as fake. Not only for his sake, but for hers. But instead, Trump seems more intent on stopping Stormy talking rather than showing that none of it is true.

'I could shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters' - those people would still vote for him

And as for "if" Daniels is not telling the truth, why would he sue for $20m?
