Documentary charting the singer's life and career, looking at his childhood, his time in prison and his life-changing decision to go into music

9.30pm & 2am Classic Albums: Tears For Fears – Songs From The Big Chair (BBC4) New!
Documentary that explores the creation of the seminal, second album by Tears for Fears. 10.30pm Roy Orbison – Love Hurts (BBC4)
Thirty years since the singer's death, another chance to see this documentary revealing his legacy as a beloved rock legend and a devoted father through intimate interviews with his three sons. Whilst I can safely say I have never or ever will purchase a record by the Backstreet Boys and/or N*Sync, I highly recommend this documentary from last year, now available on youtube - A doc about Lou Pearlman, huckster extraordinaire...

And should we be concerned about Aaron Carter?

That's a real loss - he captured the zeitgeist but still kept distance from the superstar dj nonsense. First saw him playing support for The Orb in 1994 when I would have had similar locks.

Going off on a tangent to the Concert for George's weeping guitar, as someone who hadn't viewed /listened to much Prince I thought the other megaband version was hilariously entertaining with the Purple One's antics (and sounds) at the end

I've seen Cadillac Records before. I quite enjoyed it, worth a watch. Although 9.17pm isn't a great time for me.

Anyway, I think I'm right in saying it portrays Howlin' Wolf as a no time for messing, just glad to be doin music bloke, which I think I'm right in saying was far, far from the case.

Although I only bring that up so I can say that if Brendan Howlin had rebranded as Howlin Wolf, we wouldn't have this nonsense in the Dáil, because 100% of people would have voted for him to rule the country.
