The official word was that they had "decided to take a break from Rackhouse Pilfer" so hopefully that's all it is. Discovered them in November and really like them.

Meat Loaf on over the weekend. Never ate the stuff before.

Yeah. Not a break up as in a falling out. A couple of the lads have very young children and they were away for 2 or 3 weeks at a time. They're still gigging in different projects but not travelling as much. I meet Leon Mooney for a pint most Fridays or Saturdays. Him and Leslie are back doing the two piece that they started off as. The fiddler, Fiachra, is playing with Lisa McHugh. They hope to regroup again in a year or two.

Hi there, if you are a fan of BB King and you have Sky Arts then you might want to stock up on your tapes as his anniversary is commemorated with no less than three shows this weekend, and some other bluesy shows to boot. Good to see.

Forgot about this, TOTP scheduling is all over the place right now.

I remember that Red Box song featuring prominently in my 'Taped off the Radio' Tape around then. Good times.

'Taped off the Radio' being the name I wrote on the tape, I didn't mess around with titles back then.

Dancin' In The Street. Crappy song, but Bowie looks effortlessly cool. Jagger trying way too hard and just looking like an arse :)

4pm Elvis - The Early Years Part 2

6pm Take Me Home: The John Denver Story

8pm The Jazz Singer (Starring Neil Diamond)

    11pm Hendrix (2000 TV Movie)

    Sunday
1pm Take Me Home: The John Denver Story

3pm Life Is Not A Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story (Eh, it says here she won American Idol in 2004, fair play)

5pm & 11pm Ring Of Fire (June Carter / Johnny Cash Biopic)

7pm In His Life: The John Lennon Story

    9pm The Linda McCartney Story

And that's nearly it, Dave Clark has got a lot of slagging around here in the past for his self produced film where he pays a lot of famous people to say that Dave Clark is amazing, so for balance I'm happy to say that the Best Crystal Palace FA Cup Final Dave Clark Five Cover of the week will feature in 'Football's 47 Best Worst Songs' (Dave, Sunday 6pm). Much better than the original - sorry Dave, you can't compete with John Salako and Alan Pardew!

Nice one Skid. Fair bit going on there.

Bet BBC are sick all their good (and not so good, to be fair) work this weekend is trumped by True Movies.

Who's having The Jazz Singer? Anyone?

    Anyone?

(I might watch it, they actually did a How Did This Get Made? episode on it not that long ago. It sounds appalling. So bad, it's great.)

The mention of a Hendrix movie reminds me, anyone watch the one abiut him on Netflix? It's amazing, and not in the good way. As far as I remember, it's narrated by someone else in a Jimi Hendrix voice.

Ha, there's a How Did This Get Made? The Jazz Singer T-shirt

That's one which would greatly impress a very small number of people, and confuse everyone else.

What about the voice of Geddy Lee?
How did it get so high?
    I wonder if he speaks
    Like an ordinary guy
    I know him...and he does. :D

Nirvana Unplugged at 10pm tonight on MTV Music. ‘MTV Music’ is a very loose term these days so it’s Ch.708 on Virgin.
