    No Fontaines DC tonight?

*tries desperately to think of another non-whiny contemporary Irish band*

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,628 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Why did they even need six blokes on stage for that one-bloke-I-wrote-this-in-my-bedroom nonsense?

Also, I thought it was a live music rule to save the best for last?

In that Young Offenders ad I'm expecting a big jeep to come flying round the corner and kill them all.

I don't think I've ever despised a band as much as I do them

The evening saved once again, as ever, by Bowie. :)

    Surprised she didn't say iconic.

The music in that Vodafone ad is f*ckin brilliant.

Do yous say Bow-ie or Bow-ie?

Like Bow (& arrow)-ie, or Bow (to, I guess, roylaty)-ie?

    I say Bow-ie.

  • Registered Users Posts: 72,630 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Manics and Suede live on Sky Arts starting now.

Come on in, the glam’s lovely. :)

The correct pronunciation amigo is the former (as in ‘and arrow’) :)

    That'a the one I say.

As in Bow-ie's in space. Bowie's in spa-eh-ace.

Well boardsies, we can safely say that last night’s music wasn’t my cup of cha. :D

But in fairness, it was all for a good cause - nowt wrong with dat :)

The live circuit looks to be seriously screwed for the rest of this year, if not more :(

I was out on la piste last night but checked this thread to see how things were going and broke my bollocks laughing at some of the comments. It looked like a genuine shít show - so many good acts these days omitted like Fontaines DC, Murder Capital, Just Mustard, Sinead O'Brien, Silverbacks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,025 ✭✭✭trashcan

I hear the stunning are playing?? Maybe they can play brewing up a storm?

Missed em. Probably the only act on it I wanted to see  What did they play ?

What I did see of the rest of it was a steaming heap of cow dung.

Sky Arts is going FTA in September. No other details yet other than Freeview will have it, nothing about Freesat who are so badly run they'll probably somehow manage to not get this on the platform

Those five acts are pretty good, faves of mine in fact. But I must say Denise Chaila is unreal.
